    They got back to me last night on the USB wire position. There's a chip in close proximity on the other side of the board to make soldering the wire from the other side not possible. But I suggested then that when the workers are applying the glue to stress relieve that they lay the wires...

    OK that makes sense....depending on the vintage of the chip you definitely are better off pulling the battery. Some of them wouldn't even take the 35W upgrade until they fixed it in the 50W....which was the point of the early 50W we got here :)
