The current batch is upgraded to 35W and have wires soldered for the up/down button. For reverse polarity protection the negative lead needs to be moved and if you can solder the larger main connections then you are qualified to easily move the negative lead.
Update:
guys....there have been a number of issues with WIn7 64 bit machines. I will have a new installer shortly from YiHi and will post it up. I am traveling and have had poor connectivity so I apologize to folks waiting on responses.
Bottom line I believe we have to solution to the 64bit...
Kevinn if you got your chip from us its already upgraded. If you didn't get it from us I hope to earn your business in the future. Check the package where it says upgradable 35W chip and then in parenthesis it will give a version....V2.0A is the latest with all the bells and whistles. Thats...
Steamer you haven't taken an upgrade yet correct?
Remove the battery...I mean no connections anywhere....no battery period. Open the YiHi installer and go to connections. Plug in the chip via USB. Click install driver and install the driver..then click connect. COntact me offline at...
No yours is at 30W so you need the upgrade. They made a couple of fixes as well so its beneficial to take the upgrade.....such as the voltage measurement vs the readout.....it was reading high compared to the actual battery voltage and this upgrade corrects that.
If you're not going to be...
reminder......if PMing me for files and instructions please include an email address.
Also the downloads from the website are all the current files as well. But the switch attachment instruction is not there and I will provide separately as requested. You do not need to attach switches to...
Update: doesn't effect us all with boards or current stock but YiHi decided to move the negative lead to the right corner of the board for the reverse polarity protection. They initially assumed most mods would be soldered batteries. They now realize many use holders but also for testing one...
exact type of support that is invaluable to so many...
DF I think the upgrade works so well its turned ho hum :) But I know some still prefer the single button too!
No worries man!......Yes thats how they all will be. Removing the batt if you have easy access will do the same thing. Think of it as any software install...usually needs a restart after installation :)
Kurtus you didn't do the final reset step. Go into Link again, lean it, and let it cycle through. WHen you start it back up the meter should read like it used to. You would also find your switches are not activated until you do that final reset.
Interesting. They indicated they believe it is an issue when battery is at a certain level and the next upgrade they would address it....end of month 40W upgrade. SO you may still see it occasionally but they seem to have a lead on it.....not sure same issue but.
In other related news they...
yes the firmware can be flashed without the switches present. Still need to follow all the steps but there's no risk and there are some benefits. Only risk is the soldering IMO.
