Tom,
It's 26ga Ni80 for core. 32 Clapton each. Then fused with it 30ga.
I don't have any other gauges of wire yet.
Maybe some 34,36,and so on Ni80 next time.
Mines came out to .16. I'm using .8x1mm flat ribbon. 26ga Ni80 and just regular 32ga A1 for the wrap.
I have a macro lens for my iPhone but it doesn't take pics like above??
Aww I see now. I have 2 lens on it. Will switch them around.
You can do it. Heck even my drill is not a stand up with battery on the bottom :p. Mines electrical and I hold them both up wire and drill. But now I will use the swivel method. Swivel to clamp, wire to drill, spool of clapton still in spool and let it rip.:headbang:
For these low ohm builds a VW device would last longer with dual 18650's.
The only other build I do is dual macro 24ga Nichrome 80. Maybe try that simple build?
Aww c'mon bro. You have to give it a try. Once you get going they are easy to make. ;)
Your probably using A1 on A1 and it'll take a bit to heat up on a mech. You try a VV/VW device? :thumb:
What post holes are you using? Maybe one of us can send you one :D
Vapero,
What wires are you using for the claptons? Any Nichrome 80 wires to use as the core or wrapping? Since they are lower at ohms it might help you heat up faster than regular A1 on A1.
I did a 30 gauge core with 32 to wrap it ohm at 2.2 lol.
Yea the atty is nice. Holds tons of juice but that goes away real quick. I just had to get my cloud chasing fixin' with some DIY juice I made just for that ;). Finally can crank out those claptons in no time.
Gonna try that stapled helix with flat ribbon.
