I'm using iPhone 5. When I'm in the coil build section I put a macro lens on for that up close shot.
But the rest is just the stock camera. No editing just lighting and angles.
I'll do a mini Clapton coil on the Kayfun and show you up close macro shot.
I hold the phone away until it's clear. Then I zoom in from there and it stays clear for a pic.
If using macro lens the lens itself needs to be like 2-5mm away from the build to get that nice close shot.
Looks like my wraps are a little less than yours also?? That coil is at 1.5 ohms. I just build on the Sig to pulse but it gets transferred to the Provari.
Hope this helps. I do saturate the wick before the rest is put together.
If you don't want to fluff it's fine also. This is what's working for me. Just sharing.

Well that is not cool if your not getting flavor. On the mini you try 3 full turns?
Light wick in the channels? Or even a little more?
I just got done rebuilding with 28ga 7/8 wrap on 2.5mm and have used all sorts of juice. Even sometimes without changing wick and it still taste...
Also can you really see voltage drop while you vape? Are you using a inline volt meter while you vape?
Do you have a regulated box mod? That can keep giving you that same power throughout.
Just a simple dual 24ga or 24gN80 can go a long way.
Why keep buying and chasing something, you trying to blow the biggest cloud? What kind of vape do you want? What type of vapor are you now?
Every post I read I'm getting confused. You can take the time to learn and build coils on the setups you have. How low are you trying to build to? What is...
Damn. That sucks for me. It's ok though. As long as it works.
Sorry to hear your having problems with yours. Sometimes I get a mute flavor also. But after the coil and wick has broken in (used for awhile) the flavor comes alive. Also I mess with juice control to see where I can get some sort...
Wick should be tight or your normal way of wicking. But then I fluff the cotton up like bunny ears and cut to the height of the coil. Then I fluff to the sides and cut to the coil. Should be left with little cotton and stuff that in the juice wells.
