    getting things tweaked

The forever tobacco skeptic here... After reading Jimi D's review of Black Fire and seeing this recipe, I had to try it. Got my BF the other day and mixed some of this up (didn't mention steeping, but I gave it 3 days anyway). Just loaded it up and it's mighty darned tasty, thanks! :) I can see...

    Experience with Capsicum?

I haven't tried it, but since no one's replied so far and I do have some experience with capsicum in general... It really isn't a flavor, but the ingredient in any hot pepper that makes it hot. So....I would think it would be more a 'feeling' like koolada than a flavoring, thus it could be...

    Freshly squeezed lemon juice

I read that the ph of lemons can vary quite a bit...I would assume due to ripeness, etc. I suppose if you don't get the result you want you could always add more. As far as lime, this might help pH level of Foods I just did a quick google search...I have no idea how accurate this site is.

    Question about McCormicks extract

Yikes...I read waaaaaay back in the forum (back in the olden days) where folks were vaping Capella flavs straight.... I understand the pioneer spirit....go where no man has gone before, and all that....BUT.... Is it really all that difficult to place an order for flavors widely recommended...

In search of te perfect cocnut recipe..... 4 attepts thus far and getting frustrated!

Holy MOLY that's a lot of flavor! Esp. for FA...Hoosier, what percentage of Cap coc did you use...the same? If I may ask....? I've always been a once a year coconut craving sort of gal but recently realized it was because of the texture (which I'm not a fan of) so vaping could be another...

YOU need to read the vinegar thread :) Really..anyone interested in diy should be reading this one....:2c: Well, this could be sour grapes (not saying it IS, but I've seen no documentation), or it could be that one of the chemicals used in ALL custard flavors that replaced diacetyl (sorry...

    capellas

I agree, however......;) I personally find most of Capella's flavors excellent standalones at 10%. Rarely do I bump it up to 15, and more often than not, 5% is just fine (I do add lemon juice or vinegar). I rarely find the need to sweeten cap flavors, but sometimes add a bit of em just to bump...

It's awesome :) I swear there's a perception of 'fizz'. I was having trouble with the rootbeer float..added a bit of cola and now have an awesome rootbeer as well :2c:

    Orange Tang Flavor?

I would bet Cap Sweet Tangerine (orange crushish flavor) and maybe some tart and sour would come close...?

    LOVING essential oils

It just makes sense to me. An oil isn't water soluable, and the only place you're going to find claims that they're actually absorbed through the lungs are aromatherapy sites selling them as therapeutic, or a holistic site claiming the same. Any actual studies or medical information I've read...

    salty taste

Sophie_lapin recently posted somewhere that there was a butter flavor that was more of a 'salted butter' whereas Capella is sweet...I'll be darned if I can remember what brand though :( I'll keep looking... Found it!!

    Single Flavor DIY for Beginners

Tried to edit my post but it's too late. Capella Apple Pie. Awesome on it's own .... sweet apple flavor, light spice, and you can taste the crust too. If you like it more tart you can add tart and sour. This one tastes better every time I vape it I swear...

Does Flavor Art have real tobacco in it?

These may help Perfumers Apprentice - Tobacco Flavors (no natural tobacco) Perfumers Apprentice - Tobacco Blends, Absolutes, & Extracts As far as perceived flavor difference, no one can answer that as it differs with the individual...

Sense of Smell vs Sense of Taste

I disagree with the 1 week steeping. Heck, I'd never vape anything if I had to wait that long! Granted, tobaccos need that, and there may be a few flavs here and there (Capellas cheesecake is a good example) but as a general rule I find that an overnight steep is going to give you a pretty good...

    LOVING essential oils

Personally I don't see an issue with occasional use of 'safe' EO's....however, the fact remains these oils cannot be expelled/absorbed by the lungs...how is that preferable to the tars left by cigarettes?
