    That is a great point! (pun intended) Even the tiniest layer of glycerin that could be on the finger you're testing could throw off the glucometer quite a bit since most use only a drop or two of blood, it wouldn't take much to skew the results high.

    If you have a cart condom from ANY cartomizer, you should be able to at least cover the bottom threading to catch any liquid that might drip out. I'm not suggesting that you fill it with the condom, but just use it to prevent a mess...which is what she said.
