    Negative Anti-Smoking Messages Ineffective

Interesting study, but they forget to check the PRODUCERS of anti-smoking PSA's for neuroticism that would make them more likely to create messages that are biased and less involving. ;)

ADP Health Insights published a good article.

Stan Glantz defames Brad Rodu, criticizes harm reduction articles on smokeless tobacco and e-cigarettes

Bill, the study referenced classifies "dual use" of smokeless along with continued smoking as "harm escalation", yet it does not provide any justification. Is use of Chantix according to manufacturers recommendation with a period of dual use considered harm escalation as well?

    Obama's position on e-cigs ?

The same sort of ties that the right has to Military & Industrial interests, the left has with Healthcare & Pharmaceutical interests. Didn't you catch the "liberal" bent in MASH and Catch-22? Not a coincidence.

Does low resistance = more nicotine delivery?

Because "milligrams" is not a very accurate way to describe the amount of nicotine. Regardless of the amount of nicotine in a cigarette, most people absorb about one milligram of nicotine per cigarette smoked--they'll inhale deeper, hold it in longer, cover the filter holes...whatever it takes...

Does low resistance = more nicotine delivery?

Low resistance means that the atomizer will draw more power from the battery making it hotter and capable of vaporizing more liquid per puff. Keep in mind that the amount of nicotine in e-liquid is actually VERY similar to the amount of nicotine in tobacco: The average commercial cigarette...

    Obama's position on e-cigs ?

Actually, comparing apples to e-cigs: According to Dr. Oz's research, apple juice frequently contains significantly more than the FDA allowable levels of arsenic for drinking water, but there is no such limit on apple juice. Meanwhile, the trace amounts of tobacco-related impurities the FDA...

Smokefree ordinance to be introduced in Boise (ID), don't know if e-cig ban is included

Thad Marney: TJ, since I am no longer a resident of SE Idaho, I was hesitant to contact you, but I do have friends and family living in Boise so I hope you will pardon me for sharing some thoughts with you about an issue that is very important to me: Although I really appreciate the quote in...

New e-cigarette tax bill - join Popvox and oppose it

They include "small cigars" because they know that tobacco companies have repackaged flavored cigarettes into tobacco wrappers (rather than paper) so they qualify as "cigars" and avoid the flavor restrictions on cigarettes. ...but yes, it does have everything to do with economic status.

Smokefree ordinance to be introduced in Boise (ID), don't know if e-cig ban is included

Definitely stay in touch with your city council to make sure they don't change their mind yet again, but councilman TJ Thomson told me, "I am working with council to get the exemption back into the ordinance. We will be changing it so that e-cigarettes are not restricted prior to final passage." :D

QQ on PG/VG question and diffrent liquids/flavours

I'm not sure the number of cigarettes/day you want to avoid determines the nicotine strength you choose. Even the lightest smoker might still want the throat hit/kick of 3.6% (36mg/ml) nicotine, and many heavy smokers/vapers might prefer very little or no nicotine at all. I'd suggest trying a...

E-Cigarettes Deliver Nicotine - JF Etter

Although I'm glad to see Dr. E clarifying the nicotine delivery "question", he is still working from the assumption that the effectiveness of personal vaporizers / electronic cigarettes depends on reliable nicotine delivery like medicinal NRT. Nicotine delivery only matters to someone who is...

Allowing prisoners to use smoking alterantives could save lives

Honestly, they wouldn't be very effective. Most people vape less than a teaspoon (5ml) per day...it's hard to weaponize such minuscule quantities. If someone had access to a poison strong enough to deliver a lethal dose from a <15W atomizer, it would be simpler to just add it to a victim's...

    The Winston Man speaks

I understand why it might appear that way, but really he's saying quite the opposite. David Goerlitz really has seen the true underbelly of all four sides: Big Tobacco, Tobacco Control (aka Big Pharma & ANTZ), WannabeBig E-cig, and "Grassroots"/Vapers clubs. The problem is that promoting true...
