I never leave my fill screws out. I also never have a dry hit.
I use 500 thread mesh rolled fairly solid with no center hole. I very lightly torch prior to rolling. I make the wick a little smaller than the wick hole. This allows air to enter the tank around the wick.
I am also playing with the...
I know the zip lock baggie trick...but found it hard to put it all together in the zip lock bag. Of course if I had an ounce of common sense I would have realized that the band that was around the new switch part was useful. Instead I slid it off.
All good now though.
I finally got my upgraded switch installed (I know I have had it for months). Having pinged 3 out of my 4 little ball bearings around my kitchen and dining room, is there not an easier way to build this switch? I dread having to dismantle the switch for cleaning. Having not used my roller for...
You may have a minor hotspot that you can't see. Try dripping juice on the coil and firing several times. This will help build up a protective layer on the coil. If you are using a variable voltage or wattage you may just need to increase the power. On mechanical mods I use a 1 - 2ohm coil for...
Congratulations. Enjoy the vape. Always have a backup in place as genesis systems can be tricky. A nice stable coil can suddenly change with a jolt. If you have a satisfying setup I would not change it.
I did spend many hours recoiling in the beginning.....just to tinker. Now I still tinker...
Your wick is a long way from your positive post. Add a couple of washers between the nuts to shorten the distance. Or gently push the coil and wick closer and then tighten the positive lead. What gauge kanthal are you using?
OK makes sense. I have 3 and all are still on their first wick and coil. I think we are 3 to 4 weeks in now. I will peek at the coil when I run the tank dry. 2 looked iffy on Sunday. And my strawberry one is sluggish so I have a feeling I am going to be changing out that wick here soon. I love...
:vapor:And gals
Yes you could add mesh to the bottom. Not sure how easy it would be to hold it on there. The slightly shorter wick shouldn't be a problem as the ceramic does need some tilting.
Here is how I set up.
Cut your. Mesh about 2-3". Torch it briefly .....move the mesh around and only torch a few seconds in each area. Fold over 1/16" or so on what will be the outer edge. Start rolling it without a center hole and roll it snug. Test it in the wick hole. Should drop right in...
I have tried the Nextel ceramic and silica wick. The ceramic was downright scary. You have to either fire it in a kiln or torch it for some time. The green flame was a concern. When I was working with it it shed small particles that embedded in my skin. I felt like I has crawled around my attic...
My day to day setup is a 3/4 wrap of 30awg. This runs about 1.2ohms and works well on my provari and all my mechanical mods. I do have my terminators running at 0.8ohm on mechanical and the vape is stellar. I can control juice flow on the terminator better than relying on mesh. Every device...
I use clear juices 70/30 pg/VG and only have to dry burn my coils every few weeks. I get very little build up with my DIY juices. When I do need to clean I remove the wick and dry burn the coil. Then I use a soft baby toothbrush on the wick. Roll the wick on a piece of paper towel then reinsert...
