    Whichever you use, oil or wax, you should protect all the surfaces, inside and out. If you don't they will absorb moisture at different rates and that can cause the wood to warp.

    So, let me ask you this. If you decide you don't like bottom fed box mods, based on a cheap replica, how do you know the problem is the style of the device, or if it's simply a poor imitation of something that obviously works and has a huge following? I've said it once, and I'll say it again...

    Sad, but true, very few of the pictures do any of the woodvil's justice. In my case, all 4 (2 for me, 2 for wife) of my woodvil's FAR exceeded my expectations when I received them.

    On the original question, I have 2 2015 woodvil's for me, and 2 for my wife, I rotate them both monthly. I have a "few" grands, they are cleaned, deoxit'd, and stored in a waterproof safe, except for the one my son is currently using to avoid smoking in the house.

    One of the things I like better about the coil master, is that the spindle you use to wrap the coil also doubles as a gadget to keep in the coil while you're mounting it, thus avoiding misshaping the coil.

    Going from .5 to .4 shouldn't make THAT much difference, you probably got the coil positioned (relative to the air intake) better on your 2nd build. Even a mm difference in it's location can make a noticable difference, in flavor, TH and vapor production.

    FWIW, I thought I could run the new 510 without an oring under it, but I find I still had some occasional leakage. Plopped an oring in there and it's been dry as a bone ever since.
