I always torch the little piece of kanthal before I wrap it, and only torch the wick when I remember. It doesn't seem to do anything except turn the silica a little more golden colored, lol. I thought it was to burn off the little hairs that may be loose, but the entire wick turns black before... -

Thanks for the offer, I'm gonna try an idea to fix it and redrill it, but I'll definitely let you know if it doesn't work out. For now, I'm using a small rubber band for braces to adjust the airflow. It's not quite pretty enough for my liking, but it's nice to be able to fine tune it for the... -

Era rba And your Reo Warrenty
As Dave said, I've been using an oring under the ERA to lift it up a bit but still make contact. Works perfect for me, and even allows it to fit the tight catch cup on my VVW (well close enough to work at least). I certainly don't blame ya Rob for charging for repairs from this. I picked up one of these steel drip tips and also a plastic black-with-white-swirl in the same design. These have funny white orings and seem to fit very loosely in both my ERAs. I even tried changing out the oring to a standard drip tip oring I got from madvapes and it was even worse. I managed... -

So just to share, I just figured out what was goin wrong on the ERA I've been using on my Grand. Turns out, I was wrapping for a very low coil, like 1.2ohm, but kept ending up with it reading around 1.6-1.9. I checked if the coil was touching anywhere and made sure the atty connection was good... -

I agree Dave, I don't like Major either, but I was looking for a direct antonym of Mini, so it is what it is. The only problem with something like Monster (which I like) is that it leaves less room for even bigger mods. We need a large sounding name, but still leave room for the next big thing... -
