    The base isn't intended to be disassembled, it's pressed together. So disassembling requires knocking the atty deck out.

    Yeah A123 cells are actually pretty good cells but the voltage is lower so it won't work with most regulated mods. What is the mAh? Having a hard time reading the data sheet on my phone.

    There are several places that sell them, they are just an aluminum base with 510 threading. IIRC I got mine from Stormys, but have seen them sold several places.

    20g solid wire will be more than adequate. Using solid wire might be a pain. I like using fine strand silicone shielded wire, it is commonly used in RC.
