    The "WeekEnder"

Progress.....don't mind that the top is a little fat....I left it a little fat while I cut the hole for the button because I knew it would chip the front edge of the hole....so hopefully now when I sand it down I will have a nice squared off button hole. Also don't mind the white/clear...

    Taifun GT Discusion!

If it were me....I would test the resistance at the 510 using the multimeter. I would hold one lead against the 510 threads and then touch the screw with the other lead. Note the reading, then adjust the screw and test again. Test with the screw in as many positions as you think needs to be...

    Switch Rating Question

You use a p channel when you switch the positive voltage and the n channel when you switch the ground or negative voltage. N channel mosfet are typically more efficient than p channel, meaning less vdrop to the atty. However even the vdrop a good speced p channel isn't very much. Refer back to...

Sneak peek at the WIP Poldiac project. Need to get going on the shirt and this afternoon I should have parts to see if I can integrate a kick2 and switch into the switch housing.

    Taifun GT Discusion!

Do you have an ohm box or multimeter? With either you could easily test the ohms with the screw in various positions and eliminate either the mod or the atty as the source of the inconsistency. Then if it's the atty we can dig further into the cause.

    Alumodi, A DNA20 Build

This is actually the second case of this problem that I have heard of and both are recent. Evolv has great customer support. I would suggest contacting Evolv via their website and explain the problem and how you purchased the board.

    Switch Rating Question

This thread has some good info on a mosfet switch I did in a Reo. This was a little a more complicated than a mosfet switch needs to be due to conforming in the Reo. But it lays out the basic info...

I believe the tube is 23mm....or at least I'm hoping it is....here is a pic with a 23mm TGT

    The "WeekEnder"

All my side by sides are VW either using a kick2 or DNA....I'm waiting on parts....due in tomorrow. I have a couple of kicks torn down to the base pcb....the goal with the kicks is to achieve sleek external wattage adjustment. Yes....and now I'm waiting on chi you clone ....but at least...

    The "WeekEnder"

Send me a chi you clone and I can measure the threads and see how the pin might work....preferably in stainless..... I have actually be eyeing up the chi you clones since they are 23mm....I think a chi you and TGT side by side would look pretty good :D But I have quite a few 22mm mech...

    Switch Rating Question

If the button was rated high enough you wouldn't need a fuse. I don't know of any threads off hand, but there are a lot of pretty simple home built mech switches out there. Another solution would be to make a mosfet switch using a mosfet, tact switch (or any switch really), and resistor.

My DNA20 box mod project build

Sounds like your charger is bad or something. Yes it would be nice if the DNA had an on screen indication for charge, but the DNA is offered as a modders board and not a single solution total integration product. The leds on the charger are supposed to be your charge indication.

    Switch Rating Question

No, amps rating stays the same independent of the voltage.

    Alumodi, A DNA20 Build

Looks great! I would just run the 22g wire and worry about it if it gives you issues. Did you sand the Hammond box flat? For some reason I was thinking the Hammond boxes where tapered.

    Taifun GT Discusion!

This is the pic from the RTD vapor site where I got mine and I believe they are reputable. I don't have an AW 18650 with me, but I could take some pics later if you need....but how do you know if its "real" or not? AW IMR 18650 3.7v 1600mAh - Batteries

    The "WeekEnder"

Hmmm...just looked at the connector again....not a lot of meat there....I think I'm out of easy ideas. I think if it was me I would take down the back side along with ~1/2 of the front side down to something like 3/8" and then thread it.

    The "WeekEnder"

Would it be cheaper and easier all around if you had your machine shop buddy turn down the back of the connector to a smaller size and then you could even cut the threads with a die. Then normal and smaller size nuts and washer be used.

    The "WeekEnder"

Yeah soldering to the nut just seems to always get in the way....either limits getting a tool on the nut or the wire gets wrapped up on something when tightening.

    The "WeekEnder"

I found soldering to the nut was kind of a pita, so I started making a brass washer to solder to.
