As much as I liked going there. Joe reminded me it's rather hilly terrain and the way my back is I will be toast about 2 hours into the trip. So I would have to say we'll pass.
We went a couple of years ago.. Lots of walking. It's literally in the middle of a forest so there are lots of cooler shady places to hang out. It was fun
Not uncommon, it's like they are getting ready to leave and they do one last rally to help the family deal with the end. My mom did that just before she passed. After I told her it was ok to go. She had a brain tumor that was literally taking over the blood supply that was supposed to be feeding...
Sorry to hear your brother in law is making a difficult situation even worse. ((hugs)) and prayers to you and DH for strength and peace to be able to deal with this.
