    Thoughts on Magnetic Mixers

I cut a cheap "motel" ball point pen shaft into about a one inch long shaft. Inserted 2 of these magnets inside, sealed with hot glue and it did the trick. I built another and sealed it with 2-part epoxy, and it worked as well. On both items, I made sure to have "rounded" ends - sorta like...

    Thoughts on Magnetic Mixers

I made one, and I like it! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23mTMC_3afE The PWM seemed to "whine" and add unnecessary noise. So, I bought one of these - DC AC to DC LM317 Power Continuous Adjustable Voltage Regulator 1 25V 37V USA | eBay This allows a larger selection of "wall-wart" power...

Steeping Times and an Ultrasonic Cleaner Part III

As I remember, 4 hours was the established norm. I have left a batch overnight (8 hrs) more than once with good results. I would think there is a time that is "too long".

Steeping Times and an Ultrasonic Cleaner Part III

I use 150° F. I believe this is the new "norm". This seems to be one of the "lessons learned" from this thread and the work MikeP did here. Again, let me suggest glancing back over this thread. Start at least at page 121, maybe a little before for the lead up. You will find some pics and a...

Steeping Times and an Ultrasonic Cleaner Part III

I would say the UC is functioning well. Several pages back in this thread, you will see the details of a blind test conducted in a very controlled manner comparing UC and crockpot, steeping. Look it. One guy carefully prepared the test and the blind test samples and shipped them to 3 forum...

Steeping Times and an Ultrasonic Cleaner Part III

Google the UC aluminum foil test to check your unit. Sticking a piece of the foil in the water should "pit" the aluminum foil - in short order. Mine takes about a minute to see pitting, and in three minutes, I see holes in the foil.

    The Wizard Labs Thread.

I had the same experience, recently. No big deal, I just carefully put the white liner back... I would pay a nickle (whatever) more for the plastic insert to be on each bottle... I'm not complaining. I am very pleased with all aspects of WL!!!

    The Wizard Labs Thread.

Good idea. But, easier said than done. At first, i used plain water - hard to see any difference because of the (alleged - LOL) minimum size difference & clear liquid. So, I improved the experiment and used coffee. Thinking the dark liquid would assist me in the comparison. All I can say...
