I picked up one of these at harbor freight. I wasn't looking for something so big to be honest.. it's 16x20x10.5 hxwxd But it just looks so good, it has a lock for the top, it has a slide out cover for the drawers that also locks for carrying purposes. There are separators in a few of the...
sounds like you most likely have too much wick in one of the coils.. if you're using cotton you can slightly burn it over time with too much wick even fully saturated.. the juice itself will also... caramalize(?) sooner, and it will present itself on the coil..
Technically it started with a company making a mod with at the least slightly dubious venting and then asking a reputable youtube reviewer to take a look at it and make a video on it.
It not only thins the juice it also affects seals and o rings, and can change air pressure which will affect the vacuum most tanks use to keep juice flowing to the coil without leaking.
honestly from the OP it sounds like an airflow issue. make sure the coil is up where the air will hit it a little low.. make sure there is some breathing room underneath the coil and make sure the airflow is lined up with the coil directly.
A hot spot will still give you vapor, it will just...
your maraxus (clone or not) really should have a switch that can be disassembled.

see if that helps to figure out how to pull it apart. , if not sorry for getting hopes up... just doesn't make any sense to me that that mod wouldn't let you take apart...
well if you've wrapped another coil at the same diameter and it's not presenting the hot spot then you might have had 2 wraps that were overlapping on to each other, or something to that effect. It might have just been that specific coil.
the difference in "power" going from the battery to the attomizer in your maraxus vs the stingray should be minimal. If you're getting red while wicked and juiced up then your wicking needs adjustment. If it's too thick the juice is going to stop at the edge of the coil and never get to the...
It is actually simpler than it seems. There are technical aspects but a lot of it is common sense. Follow all the "rules" and if the mod doesn't fire or gets hot, stop and inspect things to see what is wrong before continuing.
And don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to talk you into going...
try out some more flavour art flavors, they are diketone free. I find they work better at lower %'s. You can actually add too much flavor and mute it out.. I know, sounds wierd but it happens...
depends on what you think of as the danger area.
At .3 ohms you're pushing half of the continuous rating of the battery. .2 you get to 21 amps, and so on. the sony vtc's CAN do 30 amps but it's good to give them some room.
However people ignore that all the time and push the vtc batteries...
can you post a picture of the top cap 510 adjustment screw? maybe the smaller battery rattle adjustment screw fell out or was in the box on delivery... something like that?
Going to super low resistance in sub ohm setups might be something to be scared of.. might.. But really it's like with any possibly dangerous tool that you use. It isn't to be feared it's to be respected and understood.

That is an issue.. If the two blocks on the deck touch each other you will get a short. In a mechanical mod, not a good thing. that screw needs to be tight with the two blocks not touching. the stingray's 510 pin should adjust up far enough to make contact without having to mess with the 510...
I was mostly concerned with the idea that there might be a shop suggesting a setup like this to someone new to such things. I know I've seen 2 people here using similar setups that they got at a local shop.. That greatly concerns me when I think that they couldn't be the only ones that were...
