FYI, express kits will have just the device, MAYBE a charging cord. Nothing for your juice. Both of those are the complete starter kits. You may buy additional tanks later (either eGo or 510 threading will work).
if you don't like ebay, there is also 101vapes...
First of all, go with the VV Ver 3.0. I started with something like the first one you listed and I wish I had started with the Ver 3. Secondly...you can get VV starter kits for closer to $30 on Ebay. Lots of good vendors. Third, you might want to consider the Innokin MVP2. If I HAD started with...
I've gone through the same thing. I had a tobacco flavored juice that got me through the first two weeks or so...then I threw it out. Two of the flavors I bought also taste the same and will probably get pif'd when I can find someone that wants 100% VG 36mg French Vanilla and Black Clove from...
Here is the ECF thread that can help both of you -

And the video that helped me a bit -

He uses 28ga in that tutorial, but the technique is good for 30ga...
I've heard 28 is a little tricky to pull off. I started with 30ga and had a couple stinkers at first, but they got much better after that.
My first attempt -
Shopping around you will see prices all the way down to around $7 for coils on ebay. I've paid $10 for a 5 pack...never again.
And $18 is OK, I guess. Depending on where you buy and the packaing, you can spend between 10-40 roughly for regular clearomizers.
Stick with the attempts to build coils. When you get it right, you will never want to go back to the factory ones again. Also, I see you live in Issaquah. I lived and worked around there for years.
I miss all the green, living here in Central OR. And I miss XXX Burgers too.
Faux Hawk. Pretty good, but I like Hawk Sauce better. It is just that I accidently ordered 30mL of this a couple of weeks ago and I want to vape through it.
Oh yeah, Black Licorice and Butterscotch too.
Sounds like the construction isn't very durable. Also - elevation changes make tanks leak. Just FYI.
Edited to add, you will find a lot of recommendations, I use Protanks from Kanger (Protank 3, Mini Protank 2 and Mini Protank 3) and I have had pretty good luck with them. The Protank 3 has...
Should glow from the middle out. You might have a overlapped coil or something else wrong with the coil build itself.

Some light reading for you. Keep it up, my first few were junk, they are getting...
I actually have a PT2 coil (rebuilt though) in a mini PT3 right now. This one won't be taking any trips, but it should be fine when I am using it at my desk.
I am out of rebuilt PT3 tanks, they are all soaking right now...I change flavors too much. :)
