    Twisted clapton

In short, the answer is no. Twice as much wire means more time to heat up. More than a single clapton with the same amount of wraps (or two of the same in series, for that matter) as by twisting it, you are using more wire overall.

RDA The Goon Atty by 528 Customs & Blueeyedgoon83

Just mentioned it because it is shame you are missing out on a excellent tank due to wicking problems. Building an RDA compared to a tank is generally easier and less finicky, I understand where you are coming from.

    RDA Vaporesso Nalu RDA

I saw there are Tsunami 24 versions with the large windows over the coils too, but I don't know if the entire chamber is glass, I will need to look into that. Nothing about that on the Geekvape website. I like the idea of the windows, because I use Scottish Roll wick, and it would make it easier...

From another conversation on ECF about wicking the Griffin tanks - The first method is pretty much what I use. Oh, and I desire this RBA.

    Clapton coils

The gauge of the wire is an important part of the answer, so start low and move up. If it taste burnt, you went too high. The other part of the answer depends on the type of wire used, especially for the core. Kanthal will require more wattage to ramp up, Nichrome less and Stainless Steel even...

    Wrapping With Different Wire Types

For the wire wizard, it is the last tab on the right. As for making a Clapton coil, it is about finding a way that works for you. The way I do it, shaky hands are not a problem. I place my thumb and forefinger over where the wire is wrapping and it mostly wraps itself. I can wrap a wire at the...

IN SEARCH OF GP BRASS PAPS CLONE PLEASE HELP

I have a brass GP Paps clone. It was fine at first, but when the button kept getting super hot I stopped using it. No matter how I cleaned it, it still got too uncomfortably hot to use.

    Wrapping With Different Wire Types

For Steam Engine, there are two ways to go about it. The less accurate way is to figure a Clapton using the coil calculator as a single coil or multiple parallels for a fused. The more accurate way is to use the wire wizard, using the wire builder section to select each type of wires used for...

    E juice looks oily

If you are talking about small drops in the eliquid that look like a water/oil salad dressing, some flavors will tend to separate over time. I have this issue with a banana flavoring I use, and to fix it all you have to do is shake it a bit before using. If it happens in a tank, you can jiggle...

What's the most dissapointing premium e-juice you ever tried?

    Anything from The Standard.

Fancy(ish) builds and (slightly) higher resistance

It was basically an experiment. Doesn't perform much better or worse than a fused Clapton, was interesting to make, and it had been picking at my mind for a while, so one night when I couldn't sleep, I decided to give it a try.

Post pictures of your working wick and coil setup

Went with more tiger wire in the Rafale X again last night, 4 coils, mounted vertically. Due to the 2S/2P, comes out to about .5Ω. Wick is Scottish Roll.

Fancy(ish) builds and (slightly) higher resistance

I tend to build between .2 and .4 ohms (single and dual), with the occasional excursion into a single coil around .5 to .8. Claptons (including fused) and tiger wire are generally my preferred builds, and i am still trying to get my technique for Tidal and Tsuka down. But yeah, I see those...

    RDA Uwell Rafale X

The neutral posts allow you to build in parallel, which does not cut the resistance in half like building in series does. One drawback to that is that ramp up time is slower (just give it MOAR POWEH). However, you can also build with two sets of series coils in parallel, so you can double the...

    Eleaf Lemo 3 RTA

As much as I loved the Lemo and Lemo2, I have gone primarily to dual coil tanks. This is interesting to me.

Are you checking for hot spots before wicking?

    Griffin Tank

See this vid for a tutorial on wicking it with the Scottish roll (very effective, minimzies dry hits) And this one for more standard wicking. Wicking is critical with the Griffin, get it wrong and watch all your juice pour out of the bottom.
