It sounds like it's not wicking.
If your are comparing a 2.4 Ω nova head to a 2.4 Ω carto using the same battery device, then I would say it's a wicking issue.
What voltage are your ego knock-offs putting out? Probably in the 3.3-4.2v range.
Knowing that the gripper uses a strong PWM signal...
Ohms in a carto are directly related to the diameter and length of the resistance wire that is used to make the coil.
The coil is wrapped around a wick. Around the wick is a filler material that holds the e-liquid.
As you heat the coil, the wick will start to get dry. It will then wick juice...
Not that I'm aware of.
It would be tricky as so many new devices are released all the time, they would have to have device sections and subsections.
Then you have OEM gear, authorized OEM reproducer and then the many companies that make knock-offs.
What might work on a knock-off, might not work...
Battery voltage and carto ohms combine to make watts.
Watts is a measure of power that generates heat and when combined with e-liquid, produces vapor.
Most people have a range of heat that they like. Juice is also affected by the heat as to much heat can burn certain notes out while not enough...
I'm an old school tech guy and I may be a bit rusty, but I'm picking up what you guys are putting down.
I appreciate all the information passed along here as this thread has a lot of good info and not just unrelated ramblings.
There's nothing wrong with those types of post, but I personally...
I have inspected a broken one that I have.
The center post fits tightly over a raise portion (tube about 3/16th" long) of the base. I had to use 2 pairs of pliers to remove it.
If it's not leaking at the head threads; wicks or top seal, this is the only other place that it could leak from that I...
Since the stationary pot of the wheel is white and the wheel has a small square indicator that sticks out over the white stationary part.
I just now decided to see if I could use a fine point sharpie and mark lines using the edge of the square on the wheel.
Perfect, now I can get repeat readings...
I think there is a learning curve with these.
Here is a older post and hopefully some helpful information....link.
BetterLifeTech ships these with a lot of antibacterial/shipping fluid, some have more than others, but I think it's important to clean them prior to use so you get good flavor and...
My experience is not the same. I spent less than 10min getting familiar with this wheel using the inline meter so I could get good reference points.
I can now quickly adjust and easily get within .2 volts or less of my desired voltage. I have tested this several times over and I am able to...
The CE3's work for me with a few adjustments.
I trim the wicks at a 45 degree angle and rock the outer tube slightly, which will raise the inner tube.
This increases juice flow and you should see air bubbles every time or every other time you take a vape if you have it adjusted.
Until they...
That G-sub has another name, actually, it has several names. No matter what they call it, I seem to remember it getting bad reviews.
It's the Vision TOX I believe and vaporheads has it for $39.00 vs $69.00.
I also don't think that is the Lambo unless they changed the pin post. Lambos have a 'T'...
Ahh, that's right...you will have to forgive me, it's 3:30 am here on the East Coast and I'm feeling partially brain dead...lol.
Yes, I know all about those girly batts, I was about to get the wife a couple and she talked me out of it. I think she didn't want me to spend the money since we...
As for ohms, that is the resistance of the coil and the vape depends on the combination of the battery volts and clearo ohms as to what your particular wattage is. My wife like a cooler vape, so I get her devices that are 2.4-3.0 ohms for her 4v batt.
She recently moved into the variable...
NP, glad to help. I hope you get things sorted and going your way.
We never learn anything if we don't ask and there is no such thing as a dumb question. Who knows, the next time I have issues with something, you may be the one with the answer.
That system is a cartridge style. I have never had...
Sorry, for some reason I missed this post
Yes the led will start to dim when the voltage is getting low.
The wheel was a little to stiff the first day or two, but it's perfect now as it's not as stiff and it's definitely not loose enough to move on it's own.
I work outside also and...
Most ppl will tell you that the wicks/coils need 1-2 tanks to break in.
This is not true if you clean the wicks prior to use.
Most wick/coils seem to ship with antibacterial/shipping fluids (some have a lot & others have very little). Another reason is the wicks themselves are made of...
Do you know how many volts the batt is putting out and also the ohms of the cartos/clearos?
Wash the clearo heads/unit in hot or warm water and let them dry. This seems to get whatever is on/in them out as they seem to wick better for me cleaned prior to use.
The cartos are another story...
One of the main reasons I got the Beast was for my rebuildables.
I made a hybrid coil (ss mesh/cotton core) @ 1.8ohms. I was pushing the amp limit just to get that coil performing good with my tube mod.
The ss mesh sorta acted like a heat sink and the ability of the cotton core kept it wet, so I...
