between myself and friends I have converted I have ordered & received 9 510/ego starter kits plus a bunch of cartos/attys. No DOAs yet so must just be your "good luck". "starter kits" usually come with two of each component......have you tried different cart/batt combos? The odds of having two...
Just like when you learned to smoke (cough/cough) your body/lungs will have to learn to vape so that will account for some of the uncmofortable/excessive throat hit, give it a little time. No easy way to equate # of puffs to amount of nic as people's draw/inhalation techniques varry. Start out...
Welcome to the madness.
So for starters, what do you smoke (brand/strength) and do you have any hangups like "must look like a regular cig"? What models have you looked at that appeal to you?
Fill in a few blanks and we will try to point you in the right direction so that you can minimize...
Congrats and good luk tomorrow. Everyone has their "triggers" that were the hardest to get over. Keep your friends close and your PV closer........look forward to hearing good news tomorrow.
menthols are sort of sketchy........some are really good and others are more like a spearmint gum. the 24mg menthol I got from MadVapes is quite good, not overly minty. Haven't tried it yet but I read the best menthol flavor is to buy "menthol crystals", ebay has many sellers and they are cheap...
Most likely you are waiting too long to refill.........vaping until it quits maybe? Try changing carts/topping off when you first notice a change in flavor or vapor production. If the atty is run dry it will take a bit for it to "wick" the newly filled cart/liquid. This is also hard on the atty...
welcome and congrats. U made a good first purchase. LF is great, yet to try fsusa but keep hearing "wyatt erp" so probably about to be back in "stalking the mailman" mode. This occurrs much too frequently these days.
my first "spares" orders were simply extra starter kits......the RIva for 29.99 or Ego for 39.99 basically gives you two of everything plus 5 more carts and an extra charger; add up the cost of the individual parts and it is bunches cheaper to just get a couple extra starter kits. Plus I now...
lol. Don't like a $2.50 juice sample bottle.............so what. How much money did we burn on cancer sticks??? It will balance itself out in the end. I got to where I didn't like my smoking habbit but that didn't stop me from lighting up and burning a quarter every time I got the urge. And if...
using cart/atty or cartomizers or dripping? sounds like you might have overfilled? Drawing too hard will often result in the yucky "juice in mouth" thing. Might try a slower/smoother draw. On a freshly filled cartomizer, blow back through it before taking your first drag to push out excess...
congrats on the switch. So good to see people making the initial purchase a bigger batt PV like the Ego/riva and getting to skip the "growing pains" so many of us went through with wanting a "looks like a cig" alternative initially........only to get a week or so in and feel the need to buy a...
you will find a LOT of "accidental quitters" here. I ordered 510 kits for me and my wife wanting to save on a $15.00/day bad habbit but love "smoking" so wasnt too optomistic. Here I am almost 3 months later and haven't bought a pack of smokies since. I have upgraded to EGOs for the battery life...
Epi.......welcome and I would wish you luck but with your good mindset/attitude I KNOW you will succeed without much "luck" being involved, especially if you keep posting here for support. PMA (positive mental attitude) is the greatest asset to getting free of analogs.
Mudflap.......great post!
I can also vouch for LibertyFlights, never had any dealing with onlyecig. The 401 seems to have less widely available parts/consumables. If you are looking for something close to analog sized, consider the 510 from LF; that way if you decide to upgrade to a bigger battery model later like...
If you find the 36 too much and are still waiting on your next order, you can pick up some VG/Glycerine USP from CVS/Walmart to dilute down the juice you have.
welcome and happy vaping!
the harshness can have to do with vaping technique too. If you are drawing straight into your lungs, which I find harsh, try drawing into your mouth (like you were going to blow smoke rings) THEN inhaling the vapor. This brings some extra air with the vapor and smooths things out considerably...
