Fighting Back Against the NY Times About E-Liquid Availability

Great article here too! And Jacob Sullum's article regarding the NYC ban and the utter stupidity exhibited by the city council, is linked towards the end. (I'd been looking for that ;))

E-cigarette lands man a traffic ticket in New York

:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Thank you Rossum! What is so complex about this centuries old concept that even today, people are just so ... it's frustrating to have to spell it out, to say the very least. :glare:

E-cigarette lands man a traffic ticket in New York

The guy was charged with violating a law that prohibits the use of electronic communication device while driving. They defined what an e-cig is And the judge assumed the e-cig's ability to be a communicator. IMHO, and given we generally agree to the innocent until proven guilty it was the...

E-cigarette lands man a traffic ticket in New York

So a judge is nothing more than an administrative adjunct to the operation of a court of law, and dependent solely on what the plaintiff offers? Z, I gotta say, you continue to ... ... let's just say "amaze" me. Everyone is entitled to their own.

E-cigarette lands man a traffic ticket in New York

SO... it is not the judge's responsibility to know the law? It's not the judge's job to understand how to apply the law? They have to depend on the defendant to educate them on these finer points of exactly what a judge does for a living. Oh, okay

E-cigarette lands man a traffic ticket in New York

Yeah, it's pretty stupid on the guy's part to not have explained the law to the police officer and the judge better than he did. What a doofus that vaper is... [/sarc]

Interesting debate over at The Counterfactual

Clive Bates, Carl Phillips, Michael Siegel, Brad Rodu are the All-Stars of our team! They and others are the type that mount the academic challenges that Clive details in his post. UCSF, UC & JAMA all need to be inundated with every response-tool (I just made that term up ;)) available...

    Itaste mvp 2 and iclear30

Thanks for the "PS" - I just ordered bunches of those pre-made wick / coils from fasttech. Was hoping they'd work well with pt2 minis & mt3s heads. Do you think their 4 wick versions would work with the i16's? At that price, I bought a set of those too, to experiment with.

Just a thought regarding the fight against regulation....

A similar thought flitted through my mind recently, and it seems the term sunset is used to establish a built in end-date to a law. That would force a review for renewal type of process, and avoid having to reverse a ban or whatever. Has this been incorporated in model legislation packages...

    Michigan Legislation

Talk about hugely disappointed!! I dashed off a somewhat nasty facebook message to him: Told him he is not longer a nerd in-good-standing, and he needs to turn in his card Now no better than a typical politician Expected a businessman and a nerd to deal in FACTs, truth and never fall for...

    Articles and our responses

Roger provides an outstanding service to our community by keeping us informed on what's being said & reported about e-cigs/vaping. Just today because of Roger's update, I responded to a terrible article at womenshealthmag.com, commented on a very balanced, reasoned editorial from U of...

    Michigan Legislation

Thanks Tedlee - saved me from having to dig out the link. I thought the segment ended up being very positive, especially as Charlie & Taryn weren't buying the politician's weakly delivered points. I sent Charlie & note thanking him & Taryn for a well-balanced segment. Encourage the good...

    Most Popular Mt. Baker Flavor?

Another +1 for cinnamon roll. My most favorite though was a custom blend of coffee/caramel, wee-bit of hazelnut + toasted marshmallow. The plain 'coffee' is good, and I use that as a base for adding in some caramel or whatever of the I'm in the mood for, using their separate flavors ($2.99 15ml)

How long did it take you to switch from cigs to ecigs?

Sounds a lot like me. 43 years, 1 1/2 pad, and bought the kit for curiosity & maybe save money. I was about 7 or 8 days, and had had 1/2 a .... one day. I mentioned it to the baritone in my barbershop quartet & he said "why bother? Yup, those baritones are smart! I was done.
