OMG! Just pulled the trigger on a Black/Silver VVG! WOOHOO!! SOOOO excited!
Just thought I'd share and not clutter the sub-forum with a new post! I'll post a pic when I get it. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
I was not using an adapter. Perhaps its not firing due to a short and the VV circuity is preventing the short? I hope you are able to find some answers. Unfortunately I am just getting started with RBA's. Do you have a multimeter. My first big lesson was to have one of these on hand when...
I just wanted to pop in and say how much I love my practially new grand! The recondition was great and it works better than ever! The thicker feed tube seems much more robust than than the previous thin tubing. Shiny new spring, atty connection and firing pin. Thanks so much Robert! You have...
Black/Silver vein VV grand is on my wishlist. Though I also really like the black/metallic red. I guess I'll have to decide one I've got the funds lined up :D
Good points Karen, I will get the MM first and put the atty checker on my wishlist. Thank you
Haha nice. I am lazy too, thats why I didn't even have a multimeter in the first place. But lesson learned for me :D
Thanks for the replies everyone. I didn't even realize Randy sold multimeters and such.
The shortstop is pretty cool. I recall seeing it linked in another thread before. I might pick one up some day, but for now I think a multimeter will serve me better.
Cartomizer and Atomizer Ohm...
The A7 does have an adjustable post, I don't recall noticing its exact position when I realized i could turn it like a screw. I will definitely pay close attention to this detail from now on!
Hello Reoville. I had a mishap with an A7 and have sent my Grand in for some servicing by the modmaster. I am both excited and bummed out. I haven't gone a day without my REO since I got it, but I can't wait to get it back all fixed up like new.
It has come to my attention that I am in...
Nice RBA, I'm happy about the 510 change, though I agree that the tapered casing was pretty cool. I'll have to *try* to buy one when I order my VVG sometime in the near future. (I listed 19 ebay auctions last night!)
Yeah, I didn't do my own build so I was just going with how it came. I should have been more cautious. There's not much i can do now, my Grand is in the mail and I have a new A7 coming to me from EmpireMods (great people!). I'll check into a 510-510 adapter. I am also going to invest in a...
I feel ya, I got a twist when I found one on sale. I was loving it until it rolled off my end table onto a rug and it never fired again. I couldnt believe it! Cheap Chinese... grumble grumble... Anyway, many have given great suggestions and I'll just tip my hat to a REO, they are built to...
Yeah I agree with you. Victory is certainly much sweeter when you have to work hard for it. Though I'm already planning on hocking a bunch of stuff off on Ebay tonight. Hopefully there are some people out there who want to buy my junk! I think I'll also sell my buzz pro, that should get me...
Hello everyone! I had an unfortunate mishap with my grand yesterday. A short caused by an A7 RBA. Really bummed me out as it was my first RBA and I was really excited for it. I did get some good advice and will be using a MM to check everything out before applying any voltage in the future...
I couldn't really tell if the connector was the problem or not on the A7 I just cant figure it out. The guys at empiremods are awesome and sending out a new one for me today. I also just packed up my REO and sent it off to Robert for a much needed overhaul. New firing pin, spring, button, the...
Thanks for your advice hildicat. I guess I was just hoping it would work out of the box. This coil came pre-installed and I even bought a couple of pre-made coils so I wouldn't have to worry about buying materials right away. I guess sometimes short-cuts aren't worth taking. Lesson learned...
the coil clears the center hole with room to spare. I did notice the center post of the A7 was super loose, it turns out that it is a threaded screw. Could that have anything to do with my issue?
