well 2 tracks of a stereo mix ;). I would assume it was room mics. they still did use mixing boards way back then. now that we have multi tracks we seperate instrumentation but back then, just like your tascam (I had a cassette 4 track myself) they did multi instruments per track. I actually have been checking mine for leaks. I am really surprised how much juice I go through with this thing cpmpared to the riva tank or the dct tank thing. I do use straight pg juice vape is decent. got juice in my mouth but probably condensation and tipping the dam thing up to make sure...- Pipeous

It's fun direct in recording stuff. you get a more live performance. we did a country album I asst engineered on and we stereo mic'd the piano and such and did a direct to stereo recording of everything. and analog recording just colors the overall sound. maybe it seems warmer but IMO it's just...- Pipeous

I decided to try out the SR one I had. 1 day in and seems to work decent. they seem to use the juice fairly quick but we'll see as this is first fill... I tend to lay the pv on it's side so it will be primed. seems to work anyway- Pipeous

honestly why I stopped posting in this area myself. I pop in and see thread titles and am very selective as to who's threads I even open now. No chasing the vaping nirvana, just buy my gear and juice and move on. never mentioned my issue with a vendor and it's solved now. never mentioned a lost...- Pipeous

24 inputs? dam that is awesome. you can do some nice orchestration with that. having only 8 simultaneous sucks at times, especially recording drums.... that pretty much eats up the 8 tracks. like buying 2 and getting one free at the amazon price... music store said my mandobird would be in...- Pipeous

That sounds like fun. Maybe I need to change my bandmix profile to country so I don't get in more blues and rock gigs. seems that's all I end up doing and not a lot of mandolin... the academy of bluegrass. mike marshall is the instructor. he is so easy going and funny. they have lessons for just about all the stringed instruments... I've really been working on whiskey before breakfast a lot. it's a fast song. sounds cool on the octave mandolin as well. just got off...- Pipeous

the online lessons are pretty cool. all bluegrass is new to me so these old songs tp most are fun to me. whiskey before breakfast is a fun riff to play. there's the video, then you can download a backing track and tab. I started at the beginning and covered the beginner section in 2 days. lots...- Pipeous

I placed an order with vapor geek and they tossed a lr and sr stardust in to try because I asked about them. I started with the dct though and so far loving it. placed my order the night before last, shipped yesterday, at my door today. you have to love that. Being I've been waiting for...- Pipeous
