the concept is the same as a mandolin. I used painter's tape and taped sandpaper to the surface where the bridge sits then sanded the bridge bottom on that. it keeps the shape of the instrument so it mates well here's my man cave now. still waiting for the new OM to arrive..- Pipeous

My first bass was a 71 Fender Jazz. Then I got a Hoffman like Sir Paul played. I had a badass bridge put on the jazz and not knowing the value off the hoffman, I put the stock fender bridge on it to replace that wooden thing... hindsight. you guys ever go to bandhub? Man I haven't used a flatwound bass string since I tried them early 80's. I did experiment with flat top strings on the mandolin... I use Elixirs on my guitars and mandolins... the OM, banjo and mandola just d'addarios. Aquilla has a new nylon set of strings coming for mandolin. I want to string...- Pipeous

I just bought me a 40 watt solar panel and charge controller. high winds are sweeping the coast and power outages all over already.
