    Yes, male battery. Yes, the painted part does show after you cover the steel part with the tan cart.

    I can add this-when you remove the tan cart, you are right at the atomizer--there is no sidewall hiding the atomizer--you can easily see even the horizontal coil. Not like anything I have ever seen, but I have only seen 901s, 510s, Blu,and whatever Smoke 51 uses.

    Pretty much like that, but many e-cigs look like that. I cannot tell from that pic if it has male or female battery end connector. This one has a male end like a 901. On this one, it has a white band ~ 8 mm high on the atomizer part with the word "E-Cigarette" going around the atomizer.
