Flavors that may contain Diacetyl, are there really this many?

Her name is Sarah Sterns and there's no specific position noted in the e-mail, nor are the numbers labeled as PPM or PPB. Those numbers are exact copies from the e-mail she sent to me. As for flavors, I asked which ones, if any, contained Diacetyl, Acetoin or Acetyl Proprionyl (or a combination...

Flavors that may contain Diacetyl, are there really this many?

It may be a study funded by representatives from companies that have a stake or interest, however, they did state fact in the report when mentioning that tobacco cigarettes do contain diacetyl. Based on what I've read, I would tend to agree that when we smoked, whether 1/2 a pack or 3 packs a...

Flavors that may contain Diacetyl, are there really this many?

I'm pretty sure that's the plan already :-), at least according to Tom since they are specifically working on these new flavors for us (as vapers) since there's such a huge concern over the alternative chemicals being used in certain flavors. All I know at this point is that they are working on...

Flavors that may contain Diacetyl, are there really this many?

Tom just replied to my e-mail and stated that they are re-testing all flavors at this point to determine which flavors do contain AP and which do not. This is part of the lab testing that they're doing while the new flavors are being developed. He said that the new Vanilla Custard is complete...

Flavors that may contain Diacetyl, are there really this many?

Off the top of my head, I'm not 100% sure, but I do have an e-mail in with Tom as of this reply to request a list of flavors that do contain AP, so hopefully I'll know soon enough :). That said, as with baking, you wouldn't expect a chef to use certain items to produce a certain dish as some...

Flavors that may contain Diacetyl, are there really this many?

While I completely agree that vendors should be transparent and let their customers make an informed decision, most all vendors state that vaping is "at your own risk" (and it is), so if you choose to vape, you choose to accept the unknown that comes with it. For the majority of us, we feel the...

Flavors that may contain Diacetyl, are there really this many?

As noted in my response above, Capella's uses Acetyl Proprionyl in their flavorings; those that are buttery and creamy :). They're working on Vanilla Custard v2, which doesn't contain this chemical, but AP is their choice of chemical at this time and that won't be changing on their existing...

    Adding Baking Liquids

Take a look on the back of the bottle and check the ingredients. If there's only PG, VG (or Glycerin) and/or Alcohol, you should be fine. Some extracts and flavorings, specifically McCormicks & Watkins, have other chemicals (i.e. preservatives), dyes and oils in them, which you should avoid...

Anyone know the flavoring percentages for these Capella's?

The majority of Capella's will fall into the 10-20% range with the higher percentages being reserved for those that prefer stronger flavoring in their e-liquids. If you're trying to keep things subtle, I'd stick with as little as 5% and as much as 12% for most, though there are some that are...

    TFA flavors ?

CDM & Sweet Cream are indeed clear and the Vanilla Swirl is just ever so slightly tinted yellow. All three, however, will change over time, especially if nicotine is introduced into the mix.

Flavors that may contain Diacetyl, are there really this many?

I just sent them a follow up e-mail. I'll post back once I receive a response. I can't find the e-mail they sent a while back, otherwise I'd post the information here.

Flavors that may contain Diacetyl, are there really this many?

Yep - I'm looking forward to seeing what Dr Konstantinos Farsalinos has to say :). I'm hoping to see impact results from Diacetyl, Acetoin and Acetyl Proprionyl, not just the normal we shouldn't vape it, or it's not safe. I'd personally like to know how dangerous it truly is in when inhaled and...

Flavors that may contain Diacetyl, are there really this many?

I found this out by e-mailing them via their contact form as I too didn't see it on their website. It looks like they're updating their website from what I can see, but they had noted that MSDS sheets were available last time I was in touch with them. I don't see those available right now but...

Starting a LIST of diacetyl-free ejuice suppliers. Please, keep to JUST listing the supplier names!

All Flavor West flavoring is free of Diacetyl (it's on their site, on all flavor product pages near the bottom), though I'd imagine they got in touch with them direct to confirm that it was free of Acetoin and AP.

    Lorann flavor reviews

LA's Cinnamon Roll is very very weak, so the 25-30% recommendation is pretty accurate. I bought a few of the DRAM bottles a while back at a craft store and since this thread popped up, I decided to give a few of them a shot. They've just been sitting in a box for about 4 months now. Of all the...

Question.. chew vs vaping and cancer

The nitrosamines are considered a danger and are formed during the growing, curing, fermenting, and aging of tobacco. The others are polonium–210 (a radioactive element found in tobacco fertilizer) and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (also known as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons). This is...

Juices known to crack polycarbonate/makrolon tanks.

No problem. I remember when I first started vaping and bought all my equipment locally; it wasn't cheap and I ended up destroying $50 in tanks before realizing what was happening. IMHO, this is something that all vendors should test for when mixing their juices or, at the very least, place a...

Juices known to crack polycarbonate/makrolon tanks.

If you buy from MBV or others who use FlavorWest flavorings, you can also take a look at the link below. Most vendors will let you know what is and isn't safe for plastic tanks, but there are a few common which include most citrus, some alcoholic (absinthe, rum etc), cinnamon etc. E Juice...

Starting a LIST of diacetyl-free ejuice suppliers. Please, keep to JUST listing the supplier names!

From what Linda at TFA/TPA is stating, it'd be impossible to make a custard taste like custard without one or two specific ingredients: Acetoin, Diacetyl or Acetyl Proprionyl. Since most flavor vendors are moving away from Diacetyl, that leaves only two chemicals. TFA's Vanilla Custard has...
