well, they're still there. Not as popular as I'd imagined but they served their purpose and they'll be there for if folks want a stainless switch instead of the brass button switch I'm having made for the official launch.

Thanks the plan. I'll get another update from the shop this week sometime. I try not to bug em too much cause... ya know, work. lol.

the brass tubes are starting to get a patina on them already, gonna try to get a nicer picture today of the one I've been using. It's getting that rich, dark, antique brass look now which I personally find to be sexy as hell ;)

we're getting closer :) All the tubes are off the machines, switches are being made now! RDA deck is a lil more complicated so it's going up last. Feel free to socialize in here about the product, I don't care if you discuss "other" vendors products in my thread as long as they're Z2 related ;)

That's part of the hope. I really believe in Mikes concept and wanted to support it as well as tie into an existing ecosystem. Sure, it's not a 'big' ecosystem yet, but I think it will be. I also am a strong supporter of american made product, I haven't had the ability to sell american made...

no plans to put the monkey on the top cap, I might not even have the monkey on the next tube style I do. this is the "brass monkey" line of the Link system, the monkey seemed appropriate ;) Right now I'm mostly focusing on getting the Link system launched and started, how well it does will...

My dripper is going to be a treat too... I took the top of the Zenesis RBA as my base. It uses the same center post and screws that the Zenesis uses but it has 2 of the ground screws, one on either side. There are 2 kidney shaped drip wells machined into the deck and it's the exact same...

dripper will be at least a week, if not 2. it's one of the more complicated machine jobs and uses multiple machines so they're knocking out the 'easy' stuff first.

here's a quick and dirty, I'll get some 'nicer' pictures later. The 'assembled' device has my switch, the brass monkey 18490 tube, the Z2 510 head off of my sidewinder, and an Igo-L. http://i.imgur.com/LgI99L7.jpg

springs? no plans... I'll talk with the shop and find out if I can get a bag of parts at some point.

Yeah, if you look at the zen parts, add the tube + head and get the difference for the "full device" it's easy to tell the switches ain't cheap to make. I don't know Zens' price structure but I imagine there's a bit of a 'discount' on a full device vs individual parts. I'm not personally taking...

Looks sharp. I was lurking on the zen family thread ;) seems at least a few people take offense to the switch price. A lot of folks don't know this, but the switch is half the cost of the entire device as far as machine and material costs. Those things are NOT simple to build.

also, of note, the switches have been extremely well reviewed thus far. If you were holding out for the opinions, poke around. Everyone I've seen say anything about them has been nothing but pleased :) This is the 'only' batch of switches I'll be doing that is built specifically to match...

I'm excited to see his GM stuff out there, I think people are gonna dig the CE stuff on mine ;) technically if you bought a CE version of one of my devices you could have an entirely gunmetal set up with a little parts swapping. Full gunmetal from button to drip tip heh.

I think a lot of people are waiting to see if other people are going to do stuff. I don't care if other people do stuff. I plan on making sure you guys have plenty of toys to fawn over ;) The "Link" is going to be a full line of devices. The Brass Monkey line is just the first step down a...

no plans yet, I'm breaking the system down into components but not that far lol. I've got the Stainless switches now, those are an ode to Zen himself. I wanted the folks with Zen devices to have access to additional switches if they wanted, hence why it's a direct clone. The Link switches...

I'm doing the monkey on the 'tube' for the Brass Monkey Link version. I've gotten a lot of requests for monkeys on switches, maybe the next material/finish I"ll do just that :)
