I've always used the ordinary garden variety because it's useful (and I keep it within reach) but apparently there's something called washi tape which is more colorful.
You could just stick the condoms back on the thing and maybe label with a strip of masking tape so it's all nicely sealed and you remember what was in it.

My threads were loose as well. After several weeks I decided to wrap the threads on the inner tube with teflon tape. Screwing it all together cuts through the teflon so the connectivity is still intact and now there's no wobble. You can't see the teflon until you unscrew one of the sections.
You could try having your mail forwarded. It's kinda like a change of address when you move but temporary. Your local post office should be able to set it up for either a specified amount of time or possibly until you come back and remove it.
Of course your mail will take longer to get to you...
