I'm just guessing here, but I going with the center pin was loose, unscrewed all the way and made a connection. That, or you forgot to lock the switch. :p
Well, the resistance is static. Based on the coil, it doesn't change. Raising the wattage raises the voltage relative to the resistance. VW just does the math for you. If you raise the wattage, the mod automatically raises the voltage.
Actually, considering that a threaded lock ring is the only thing stopping a mech from firing, it should never be loaded with a battery and put away. All of mine never have a battery in them if they're not being used.
I totally agree with you. I wonder if the OP modded the top pin at all. The Caravela clones are really finicky to flush mount. I think the authentic one is too actually.
Considering the battery looks fine and the positive post melted through the atty, it wasn't the battery. The battery looks like it held up well to continuous sub ohm firing.
You've bought 1 of the safest batteries around. Watch videos about coil building. The biggest factor in clouds is airflow. The more airflow, the bigger the cloud.

Reo's are great devices, but it's a big investment. You're going to need the Reo+RM2+batteries+charger+ohm meter+kanthal. You're looking at a total investment of about $250 for everything.
I got my latest order today. It only took 7 days to get to Chicago. That's some kind of record. I ordered an Omega and some other stuff. I was sent a black plastic bracket in place if the Omega. I love you Fasttech.
