The Omega is a dual coil cloud chucker. It doesn't seem like that's what you want. I would suggest the Storm A or its clone, the Cloud A. The Atomic might be a good choice as well.
You don't know why you're getting burnt hits because you don't know what you're doing. Research is great, but you need more real world experience. You've already answered your own question, but don't even realize it.
You're trying to run before you can walk. Stop trying to build parallels and get micros down first.
I'm one of the most liberal here in regards to safety, but what you're trying to build is just stupid. Work your way up to advanced coils.
I would guess its a hot spot as well. Pull the wick our and make sure the coils are firing evenly from the inside out.
What level juice are you using? High nic will be harsh with that set up.

My 18350 set up I'm using now is .65 on a 10.5 A battery. (6 wrap/28g/.65 parallel) I switch battery's as soon as I sense a voltage drop, as I do with all battery's.
I prefer the size of 18350's, but the battery life is agitating. They're only good for home use , which is a shame. I've been using the purple EFests for a few months with no problems.
*talking about mechs
Would you like it if people searched your first posts to mock you for your lack of knowledge?
I would have tried to help her out or ask to speak to someone else.
The little brass spring is for conductivity. It helps bring the current through the mod. The big spring is for the throw.
Accidents do happen, the build has nothing to do with it. It's like blaming cigarettes because smokers fall asleep with a lit one. It's not the cigarette's fault, it's...
