High Voltage, High ohm Mechanical Mod
I stacked Tenergy 3.0v CR123A 750mah batteries in my REO Grand with a 3 ohm carto for 3 years before i switched to RBA's. Never had an issue. I have many friends that are still doing it with their REO's.- bones1274

It's not just going to attract snobs. It also attracts normal folks who like a complex consistent delicious juice. But then again, taste is subjective. The Castle Long Reserve is the only flavor they steep in oak barrels. None of the other flavors are made in barrels. People get hung up on the... -

Dropped the Reo today :(
I have sheered off at least 10 drip tips over the years dropping my Grand. Every time it lands drip tip first. The good news is, you can still vape it with the RM2 even if the bottom half is still stuck in the RM2. Just take shorter draws so the RM2 doesn't get hot, and don't cover the air hole... -
Mechanicals frustration
Not all 18650 batteries are the same. What ohm coil did you make? Did you use an ohm meter? Did you use the ohms law calculator to see if you exceeded the amp limit of your batteries? Did you test your coil for shorts before putting it on your mod? You are lucky your batteries didn't go high...- bones1274

Exactly. I have a REO Grand also and have been using the same one for over 3 years. It cost $140 to purchase, less than a months worth of smokes, and has paid itself off over 36 times already. It is used daily and still is as good and strong as the day I bought it. -

Personally, I would rather spend my money on a legit mech instead of a clone and support the person that originally designed it. Yes, I could go to the flea market and get my wife a fake Coach purse for 1/10th the price of a real one, and it looks like the real thing, but she will always not... -

What exactly are you looking for? The question you posed in the beginning was you were wondering about the quality. Well the quality of many mechs are top notch. Much better than a cheap EGO or cigalike that will die/break after a while. You also stated: We purchase them for more reasons... -
consumption/cost??
I vape 10ml a day, and between the wife and I, we crush 100ml a week which is about $40 per week in juice for both of us. When both of us smoked, it was $20 per day for both of us. Lately we have been on a Five Pawns kick, and 100ml a week is about $90 per week, which is still far cheaper...
