I wonder if it would help to get a brass spring. I was looking on the COV site at parts for the GGTS and I was wondering if parts were interchangable, like the brass springs, for button and bottom for battery. There's also a brass button. Anyone ever try any of these? do they fit? -

Thanks ukeman, good to see you again. Look on page 7, posts 66-69 and there abouts. I think cleaning the inside of the switch, spring etc, was as important as the brass shim. a few posts back there's a link to K&S, manufacturer of the shimming material. Yes, I just finished disassembling and cleaning the switch, there was alot of corrosion on the spring and steel parts. I got the sense this mod was assembled some time ago. Then I got the brass shim in place and no more heat!! The button stays nice and cool for good long hits and chain vaping... -

Gave this a try, it's still heating up, but I don't think as much. I checked MOV and they have 82 in stock this morning. I'll shim the button and see what that does. I wonder if there's a piece that replaces the collector for running directly off the native 510. -

Thank you. Yea, I took the steal spring out of the bottom, battery resting on the brass. It actually heats up gradually most of the time. I'm using two adapters- ego/510 and 510/510, I don't know, maybe a short is happening in the adapters. I'm going to try and get a brass spring for the bottom... -

Yes, I thought there was a short, I put RBA's on it that had been working perfectly on my chi chi, and still the button heated up, so I like I ruled that out. The other thing is that the heat is not there every time the button is push, but ussually, and I get the sense that there's inconsistency... -

I can't find anyplace else to go with this, so I hope someone can give a little advice. I just rebuilt my Innokin i30, dual coil, it now reads .05 ohms! I've been doing sub ohms dual coils on my dripper atty, but I'm kinda excited about sub ohm dual coil on a 3 ml tank :). It fires, but I feel...- Vince159

Rebuild Innokin Oclear 30
I don't know if anyone will see this, but I just successfully rebuilt my i30, dual coils, .05ohms. It fires, but i haven't vaped it yet. it is HOT. I like the idea, sub ohm 3 ml tank, dual coil!?!?!?!? I'm kinda lookin for expert advice before loading the tank!- Vince159

Sounds great Jomay! The set screws are just a tad fiddley (sarcasm). Where did you find the Philips screws? I have some from an eye glass repair kit, but I know there are better out there. Lookin forward to the next round!- Vince159
