    Hello all, battery advice?

Greetings; Yes, 1865- IMRs will be fine. What brand of battery did you get? This is an ECF blog about E-Cig batteries that you might find useful: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/4848-9-battery-basics-mods-imr-protected.html Welcome to the forum btw. -- Glenn

E2 Question - KF Clone Ohms Reading Big Change

Thanks for the reply...I had been vaping at around 4.5 volts, and the Provari/KF clone were going fine until I got the errors. I'm using AWs (18490 1100 mah). It occurred to me later that there might be a contact problem with the connector, and so I did lower the KF screw a half-turn. Come to...

    Greetings to Our Newest Members!

What sort of builds are you trying? There's a good thread on this topic that I've been following, a couple pages in someone shows a build in which the ends of an extra-long cotton wick are folded back up onto the coil, and this has works really well...

Evolv 'Kick' users ... I have a question about setting the output (voltage)

The Crown by Artisan Vaping is sort of like the Kick, only it does have VV, as well as VW. As mentioned above, with the Kicks that I use (one version I and one ST knock-off), I just find the sweet spot on the Watts dial. -- Glenn

    Hybrids/Genesis style tanks

I love my genesis-style rba (Siam cobra), best flavor and vape production that I've had. It came with a build done by the seller, and my recollection is that it didn't leak, even if I carried it sideways in my coat pocket. But the builds I've done so far have all leaked, which I wonder whether...

Fairly new vaper need help getting my flavor.

Greetings; flavour is also a function your hardware - when I switched from an eGo started kit to an APV plus rebuildable atomizers, it really was like tasting my e-liquids for real for the first time. Now i'm getting hooked on certain e-liquids not just for the nicotine, but for the taste, too...

I've been buying batteries from Vaporous in Mtl, which carries AWs (which I find to be well worth the extra few $$). There's some very nice e-liquids, too, at Vaporous. -- Glenn

Hello all. Upgrading my Kit. Am i doing it right?

As mentioned above, the VV V3 has variable wattage, and pretty much every other feature you'll want on an APV. I don't have one myself, but I was seriously thinking of getting one (ended up buying a mech mod instead). Innokin stuff looks solid. Happy vaping! -- Glenn

E2 Question - KF Clone Ohms Reading Big Change

Not sure if I should be asking this in the rebuildables forum or here, but I had a strange thing happen while using a KF clone on my mini. (9 or 10 wraps of 32 gauge Kanthol around a 1/16th" drill bit = 1.3 oHms). I started getting intermittent e2 readings (with the atomizer not firing at all)...

    share a fav from Canvape

To answer your original question, yes, some bottles of e-liquid need steeping, and can taste pretty awful until it's had a chance to sit for a week or two. -- Glenn

Hello all. Upgrading my Kit. Am i doing it right?

There is not necessarily any great benefit to using variable watts rather than variable volts, but some some people find it more convenient. W = (V*V)/Ohms...If your battery is set at 4 volts, and your atomizer is 2 oHms, the wattage is = (4*4)/2 = 8. The thing about VW is that once you set...

    Lurker Status be gone!

Cool! I've seen some threads on ECF started by other people trying to do the same thing, you might get some good tips by searching the forum (using Google with ECF as a search term tends to be more helpful than using the ECF search box). Good luck. -- Glenn

    sensitivity to cotton wick??

I notice that the taste is different when I use cotton (compared to silica), but I 've never had a problem with harshness. Any chance the problem is related to the kind of cotton you're using, i.e. something that it's treated with? I've never been to fussy about what I use (I once did a once...

    Hello from the Maritimes

Congrats on quitting smoking and welcome to the forum. :toast: Edit: Once you have 5 newcomer forum posts, be sure and check out the ECF Canada sub-forum. A Cdn ECF guy has put together a national list of e-liquid and hardware vendors, which you'll be able to access. -- Glenn

I thought it was a genny (but after your msg I went back to look at the pic and noticed the cap is too small to be one). Anyhow, it does look good. -- Glenn

    I might get a Provari

You won't regret it. Forget the guff about Provari's only having one button and no Variable Wattage feature -- it's dead easy to use, and it really does seem to be a set-and-forget device (I've only had mine for a few hours, so this is just a 1st impression). -- Glenn

Just got my provari may I join?

I'm vaping on an HC KF clone on a Provari right now (which just arrived this morning). (I mostly wanted to use the Provari with a Genesis-style RBA, but my coil is wonky, and I don't think it would go over well here at work if I start doing a build at my desk.) My KF clone build is about 8...
