Guess some of us are nit-picky. I hate rattles. If there is a rattle in my car it drives me nuts till I get it fixed. I got a silver door and it will rattle a little more than my black ones unless I have the tape on the batt postitioned right, usually folded over some.
As for the Reos not...
Sure, they'll work. Just bear in mind that if you are using LR attys, especially 1.5s that they'll be stressed and it will lessen the time of use per charge and the life of the batt. But at least they'll work until you can get some AW IMRs.
The reos are sent priority mail but you have to sign...
Yeah, that's one other aggravating thing about my TR-001s and WF-139s: Only one batt will charge at a time on all of them. At least one of them did that out ot the box too.
:(
That's why I bought a second mini. You never know...... and I'm not going to be without a PV. All my old Ego stuff died a long time ago.
My buttons sometime feel like the pin is scaping the sides of the button so I apply a little Noalox around it and try to get some behind the pin. Works...
I corrected the OP to say 4.14 (not 3.14). The AWs are made up of two sets of four, numbered 1 through 8. The first set was bought Dec 2010. I don't know exactly when I got the second set but it was around Feb or March I guess. I use all eight of them in rotatation. I got the second set when I...
Guyz,
I have two Trustfire T001s and two Ultrafire WF-139s but don't like either of them. My AW IMR 14500 batts come off the chargers most of the time at only 4.14. Sometimes the cheaper T001s will come off at 4.20. It's not a total waste because I keep one at work, car and two at home but...
On the cost of your new Reo set up, think about the replacement cost of a batt replacement on a typical commerical system. Yeah, I made the switch to Reo when I realized I was going to spend about 25 bucks each to replace old Ego batts. I had five of them in rotation.
:)
Just being courious I checked and he is out too. Noticed he lowered the price by .60 cents. They used to be 7.49.
I guess AW is having a hard time keeping up with the demand because of the Reos
:)
What mlinky said.
Actually, I bought my second mini because the first got hosed up. I was on vacation and had to disassemble it with steak and butter knives to get the firing pin turned so it would work enough to get me home so I could order another. This was in the days of the older buttons...
Good info here.
I too noticed that the batt moves around quite a bit but didn't really realize that moving it toward the bottle helped. On occasion if I'm not getting good hits I'll get fustrated and move the batt and it seemed to help but didn't really realize what the problem was. I just...
To get a true reading, hold the leads togther until it settles down. Subtract that number from the reading you get on the atty. That gives you the true reading because it compensates for the resistance in the leads of the mutimeter.
Now, if you have what is supposed to be a 1.5 LR and it reads...
Man, your exuberance brought back the feelings I had when I got my first mini. I was thrilled too and vaped myself silly :)
That shure is a purdy reo too! Luv the color of that green.
Grats and welcome to the Reonaut neighborhood
:)
Now that I think about it, I may have been getting the sparks from protected Surefire batts I used to use. I don't use them anymore but that may be a difference. The sparks didn't happen every time, just now and again. It may have to do with if the batt has a full charge on it and arcs. I guess...
I get my AW IMRs from ECF supplier SuperTmanufacturing. You can get first class mail for an order under 36.00 for 1.35.
I prefer to support ECF suppliers whenever I can.
Electronic Cigarettes and AW batteries by Super T

This is the first I've heard of this deal. Kewl stuff! Too bad I just ordered five attys yesterday. That's half what I've been paying for 1.5 - 510 LRs.
Thanks for the mention Big Hitter!
:)
My minis fire better with it. I also no longer get the spark between the batt and the pin when using it. I assume that since it's a conductor it helps direct the charge to the pin. I apply it every couple weeks or so.
Since it stops the spark then it reduces the chance of explosion from...
