I personally do not believe it's flawed thinking at all! Aging/steeping change many jooses simply because they're so complex, it stands to reason IMO that supports your point of view...
That is possible as contamination within or to the bottles FRANKSTER put the Joose into as well. I don't doubt something could be wrong, but without being there best we can do is GUESS what it "could be" .
Aging (steeping) is usually needed for complex flavors the more flavors the more aging is needed for MOST people's tastes/palates, many tobaccos fall into this scope. When you find one you love to vape you order ahead of time to accomplish this, no harm no foul. As mentioned what age I like X...

Twisted is an "all day vape " for me for awhile now, I'm quite fond of the tobacco taste in it, Voodoo is a bit "sweet" for an all day vape (for me) but I have been known to mix some of each at times. I do vape them @ higher voltage on 3ohm Boge (or 1.5 DCC) @ 5v or so
