Personally this guys vid is wrong for the did. If you really want to see, roll your coil on drill bit slightly larger than wick hole. Put coil on smaller drill bit, Stick drill bit in wick hole and attach coil. Remove drill bit, and wah lah, you should see a perfectly built coil, which will...
My nuts are all black from oxidation, and what not. What's leaking, the tank? The one thing I have never seen is a leak. Do you have your o rings properly attached? Are you running with your juice well sealed or unsealed? Do you lay your rig horizontal or store it vertical? We've all had...
OK, for me I use #400 mesh, and kanthal 32 A-1. Now, I use 70/30 on my pg/vg mix. I get about 3.2ish on ohms because of the fat wick, and use my lavatube at about 4.4 volts. If you use thicker than 50/50 pg/vg you may be better off going to 325 mesh as it wicks better with thicker juice...
The SS in this will hold up, its built like a truck and machined extremely well, better than any device I have ever owned. You are precisely right, this is an atomizer one needs only to recoil and rewick from time to time, both materials very inexpensive. No repairs should ever be necessary...
Lets put it this way, I have figured out what works well for me, you might be different. I try not to over think the thing. All I know is I've got clouds of good tasting vape. As stated before, works for me. Do I have it all figured out? For my needs, yes.

One thing I want to say, as everything else has probably either been said, or touched upon already. I think many noobs get the impression that the DID requires massive work to function correctly. This is not the impression I wish to give. At least, as far as I'm concerned, this piece of...
There have been requests to move to ss from brass on center pole, but not because the brass is contaminating the juice tank. The juice tank is completely sealed from the brass. Rather, brass has been thought to oxidize and possibly corrode with use. Also some think the juice from the chamber...
I use a fat wick, so it snugs quite tightly into the 3.5 mm hole. I believe the large wick hole a very purposeful design feature, part of why it wicks and vapes like a truck. Now, quite frankly, I generally rest my DID in an old pipe holder so it remains mostly vertical. That said, I vape it...
Now that I have rebuilt my DID countless times, not because of problems, just because I am a compulsive tinkerer, trying out all the various methods and techniques discovered here. I have somewhat settled down as follows:
Wick construction is the end all. I Jack Frost trying to achieve the...
Btw, couple what I've said with a Mod maker who bends over backwards to be helpful, and a real web site to purchase from, and you have an excellent transaction experience.

Only if you decide not to screw in the nut which seals the juice tank. Some feel flavor is better with it out. I usually keep it screwed in, but I like my juice tamed down a bit. This is the real beauty of the did, it is highly adjustable. More coils, less coils, gage of kanthal, coupled...
Right here, on this forum, you will find a thread in euro suppliers, created by the maker of the DID. It contains very detailed information, techniques, and owner conversation about the DID. I have one and find it an amazing device for those wanting to learn and tinker with Genesis style...
Every step taken in life leads towards the rot. Now, I can try to walk on tip toes, avoiding every crack in the pavement, constantly on vigil, ever worried I will make a mistake to hasten my end. I may choose instead, to stop once in awhile to enjoy the bounties of my surrounding, might this...
Most appear to wrap to silver nut from the inner, not outer, at least in Jim's initial vid. Minimize the length. Thoughts anyone?

Head over to Euro suppliers forum, check out the DID post. Very extensive tip and techniques listing there, specifically for the DID.

Thanks for the info, I certainly don't want to ruin my new clear tank. I wonder if anyone is making Pyrex tanks, might have to look into this.
