The standard T is a better choice. The T+ has gone to a smaller wick hole, a shorter (it was already short) positive post and even smaller diameter post nuts.
There are probably a few thousand posts on this subject going back from over 2 years ago to the present.

I also like the way your mods retain the character of the wood. I see many these days that simply look plastic dipped.
asdaq is now referring to himself in the 3rd person?
Hmm...
I see this in the datasheet.

Input Current 1.5 Amps (MIN) 4.0 Amps (TYP) 7 Amps (MAX)
Very few folks will actually be vaping at the max 20W, for the majority who fall in the 8-12W range a 5.2A input should work going by that...
MFS is one of the oldest vendors out there. Have you tried contacting them and explaining the problem? Almost all the vendors mentioned have had some hiccups at one time.
You could try posting in their forum.

The UltraFire chargers are rather firm when it comes to the low end voltage determining when to turn on. Some chargers like the Xtar and Nitecore are not as particular and also have the ability to reset tripped protection circuits.
Don't be afraid to lean the wick to narrow the gap to the positive post.
Here's an early ZEN vid it starts at the relevant part.

There is also this little trick. Dude needs to do some editing so hang in there. :)

Maybe this would be more straight forward.

You could forgo the LED if you choose and I would not cover the insides with hot glue as the do. Do get some 5 minute epoxy and use a good amount around the atty connector.
Sure seemed like they missed some pretty basic things though. Get the wick hole close to both the negative and the positive post. As far as the positive post larger diameter nuts would have helped immensely to close the gap.
How hard or expensive would it have been to have copied this...
That's actually pathetic, those are the kind of switches that can be had for <20¢ in bulk.
And it's quite obvious that the makers of that PV aren't either.
It's funny as the BombShell was often compared to the Silver bullet, which BTW uses a high quality, branded DC switch.
LOL, it's very...
If you haven't bought it, don't.
These smaller diameter vandal types are a bear to activate.
I won one of these, which appears to have the same LED switch.
Useless, I never use it. Couldn't really activate it with my thumb comfortably. The button is too small and too flush...
Not necessary, but in the long haul you'll probably be glad you did. That said it's easy to find cheap 14500 carriers though.
Like these, just leave to top off.
