    Not true, cells aren't 'empty' when you get them, just not fully charged. Maybe you aren't getting good contact, fiddle with the cell.

    Try using something thinner like a needle. FWIW when I use silica I expect to see NO glowing coils when being used, for that I would need to do a dry burn. The ones getting 'red hot' are the problem.

    Forget the plating crap. It's not a switch contact that's activated hundreds of times a day, there is no arcing involved. File/sand it flat. It's too bad about your mods' connectors.

    It doesn't really matter which one you use on simple battery mods. The center pin can be negative if you like. I always routed it the easiest way on my AA box mods, the atty don't care which is which.

    Doesn't have to be that extreme. Many I know had old D-Link router PSs laying around (I've collected 3). They are usually 5V@2.4A. That's good for about ~12W vaping which suits many fine.

    Standard cartos usually means ~3Ω. Assuming a bit of loss (parasitic) reistance with a 1 amp adapter that comes out to about ~2.9 actual vaping volts @ ~3W. Most folks would want more.

    Well I won one of these, it appears to have a very similar switch. It lights up blue when pushed. The problem is pushing it, the flush button just ain't cutting it. Total fail, I never use it. In the link you posted I'd opt for the 'High Actuator' version they list.
