I think when an IMR cell blows sky high, you don't get all the flames as the gasses released don't contain hydrogen gas. The cell chemistry has just been exercised and may be a little warm (hot is a bad indication). To pull a cell straight from a charger and stop exercising it again can insult to injury (intentional pun) May be a sequence of events that could lead to failure. I think using a charging bag is a good idea. I think a dedicated spot away from paper and other flammables is a good idea, I think charging overnight, unattended is a bad idea. If you can't plan your day to swap batteries and charge while you are awake and nearby, try and come up with your own...- Rocketman

AH, Cozzi, The old reliable 'Robert's Pocket Rocket' :) Little vents didn't work, but the weak end did. But with CR2 size cells in a 18mm tube, there was plenty of clearance for gas to pass (which probably did:)) I've always considered Robert's failure 'Per Design'. Maybe not the... -

People want a hotspring (in mods where it would to some good). At what current do you want it to collapse? Remember, get to that current and you can't vape. High wattage vapers may not like your choice :) Would you use the same hotspring for 3.7 volt and 6 volt? Does anyone know the trip... -

That type of metering is not cheap. A ten dollar meter can't di it. A 30 dollar meter can't do it. The eGo unloaded sends start up test pulses unloaded, can't adjust low enough without a load, unloaded voltage was obviously not a design criteria.
