A better electrical switch for the DIYer

This method uses an industrial grade microswitch (long life, high current capacity) in place of the normal cheap horn switch you see in home made box mods. While it does take more work to fit this switch it will probably last longer, and perform better. Bounce back and forth between the text...

My first mod. A.K.A The Ghetto Rocket

Madvapes has a pretty good collection of mod parts. Boxes, switches, connectors, etc. And is there any particular reason you called it a Ghetto ROCKET? Doesn't LOOK like a Rocket.

    Battery question

Greg, I applaud your desire to learn and DIY. I would do some Google work on battery chemistry, and search around in this forum for some info on proven voltage boosting circuitry used in mods (APVs). Since you expressed a desire to use a DNA20 mod, search for examples that have worked...

    Battery question

Not having the same battery, I will give some general comments about cell phone batteries. Aftermarket batteries often exaggerate mah ratings. The factory battery for your phone is I believe 3100 mah, If the 6300 is twice as thick and a replacement phone back it will have 2 of those in it...

    my first Flashlight mod

Being able to make a mod is an accomplishment. Good job. Don't be afraid to make more :)

    diluting pg/vg

Don't think of using water as a way to dilute the nic strength (in mg/ml) of juice. Thick juice can be thinned if it seems too thick to wick properly. Thinning, with distilled water, or even ethanol, will be in the few percent level (maybe around 6% or less of the VG content of the blend). 6%...

18650 UltraFire Batteries at Radio Shack

A few things have given 'Ultrafire' a bad name for vaping (and flashlights). I used to use them, a lot. But my vaping requirements have changed and they won't cut the mustard for my current resistance in cartos. The Ultrafire protected cells I'm familiar with have a protection circuit (that...

    Ego batterys question

was the "and has standard ego 510 threads" the problem, or the "higher than 4.2 volts"? The cell inside the twist battery is still limited to 4.2 volts fully charged.

    E-Power battery changes/charges are weird...

This device has gotten to the point that is could be a risk instead of just an annoyance. Do not leave it with a cell in it or a carto on it. It could just decide to fire on it's own. Don't feel bad about tossing a cheapy. still better than tobacco.

    E-Power battery changes/charges are weird...

Check the link, this one is different that the e-power that we are used to. It has a bottom Cap. Cell goes in from the bottom. Odd that it starts working on it's own after a while.

Gotcha. Pencil eraser to clean contacts. If that doesn't work then put it in the hutch with the thimbles :)

    E-Power battery changes/charges are weird...

Does it consist of a bottom tube and switch unit, or is it one piece with a removal cap at the bottom? A dry clean pencil eraser can be used to clean contacts. Like this one? http://www.litecigusa.net/Joye_ego_t_Mod_Battery_p/ego-tmodbatt.htm 2.1 ohm should not cause a problem

BTW, the tight draw is a airflow problem, not related to the electrical problem.

    E-Power battery changes/charges are weird...

4.1 is acceptable. From the info you have posted, the following can be deduced: The cell is not overcharged, with the light on during the dry hits, the protection circuit (if the cell is protected) is not tripping, but current may be low due to a poor connection. Since it starts working after...

    E-Power battery changes/charges are weird...

Check the voltage fresh off the charger with your meter. Probably won't get a valid answer unless you can post voltages. You can try and clean all contacts in the PV.

Travel and Vaping clearos in checked luggage?

Package all filled cartos and liquids in leak proof bags. Even in your carry on. In-flight air pressure in the passenger cabin will be less than when on the ground (ear popping). Anything can leak when the external pressure goes down. Clearos sometimes even leak on their own :) Don't let...

Travel and Vaping clearos in checked luggage?

Might not apply to all aircraft but: The cargo Hold on all Boeing aircraft is the same pressure as the passenger cabin. Typically, the cabin floor is not designed as a pressure bulkhead. Remember to use the restroom if you feel a 'leak' coming on :)

Travel and Vaping clearos in checked luggage?

Buy a dog. Put the dog and clearos in the cage. If the dog blows up from the reduced pressure then you will know your clearos leaked :)

    Nicotine degradation over time

Probably not as bad as nic juice stored in the bottom of someone's closet in plastic bottles (with their running shoes) :) Neither PG or Nicotine are inert molecules. Long term exposure to the oxygen in air will initiate some chemical reaction. Water vapor in the air will be absorbed due to...

    Nicotine degradation over time

Pure PG and VG absorb water vapor from the air. Takes time, but they will eventually dilute.
