Good afternoon ladies. Happy Friday! Waiting for the electrician to call to say he's on his way. DH turned on the bedroom light this morning and sparks flew from the fixture. Hopefully we just need a new light fixture and not any major rewiring. This house was built the year I graduated...- Catmom

My husband is a buyer for an auto parts company. Even he didn't seem familiar with the 2 parts they said we need, LOL Overall though, we're just glad that we have a "mom and pop" garage that can work on our Volkswagen! The dealership is outrageously expensive. Bedtime here. Good night ladies :)- Catmom

It ended up not being too bad. It's going to cost about $300, but considering that the car is 12 years old, it could have been much worse! $300 is less than a monthly payment would be on a new car. We can live with that.- Catmom

I hope so too! Haven't heard anything yet. I don't know if they haven't called him, or he just hasn't called me. But he's "officially" off work now, although he rarely leaves the office before 5. I guess I'll find out when I find out, LOL- Catmom

I went to college in upstate New York (grew up on Long Island), in Oswego which is on the shores of Lake Ontario. Now THAT was a cold winter! LOL Made Maine winters look mild!- Catmom

Mommabird, I remember last winter being bad, but I don't remember that particular storm. It could because I blocked it from my memory, LOL Fran, all of northern New England is nice.
