I was fortunate to win a free 30ml bottle of Gambit a while ago. Personally, I don't think they should be charging as much as they are, but it really is damn good.
EDIT: oh dear, I've started another flame war.
I'd been hearing about people not threading the cotton through the coil and just having it sit in a bed of juiced-up cotton. I tried this out and MAN does it improve the flavour!
Have you checked out this thread? http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rebuildable-atomizer-systems/416271-micro-coils-increase-vapor-flavor-th.html
I know it's long, but there are also tons of tutorials on YouTube.
I assume you can get organic cotton from a health food shop. I just used the "100% cotton" from the pharmacy and boiled a handful twice. Been working well with microcoils.
Afraid I never heard from them. I guess I'll have to do like LarryPer and see if the credit card company can help resolve this. There is no excuse for AvidVaper to be treating customers this way.
Bring some to the Karaoke vape meet on Wednesday. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/canadian-meets-events/461001-happy-vaper-east-toronto-karaoke-get-together-2-sept-18-a.html
Lord knows I love saving a buck, but I don't have the time or patience for DIY right now. I don't mind paying $15...
Yeah, I could understand doing it if money was desperately tight or you didn't have anything else to vape with at the moment, but regular atomizers are much more reliable...and lots of places sell them cheap.
To turn the carto into an atomizer, it has to be a horizontal coil cartomizer. I believe Kanger is the only manufacturer that makes them that way. I tried it once with a used Kanger carto, and it didn't last very long as an atomizer, but maybe others have had better luck.
