Mod clones... how do you feel

I just take issue with the word "clone". They are not clones, they are blatent rip-offs. Just call them what they are: counterfeits.

Anyone own a JD Tech Stingray in "Phantom" brass?

I've been on the fence about patina on my other brass devices. I didn't really care that much either way; polished and new looks blingy, used and patina'd looks rugged. But the stingray...the finish is so beautiful. I really like it to the point that I don't want a patina. Frequent polishing...

Precise ELA Telescoping Mod by Super-T!

My second ELA was ordered July 13th with a 164xx number. I think pre-orders closed fairly soon after that. Phew! Just made it.

Looking at it now, I agree. Not the most streamlined combo. But, eh, it's working as far as vaping goes. ;) It's actually not an RSM dt, but an Innovape. It's designed for the Patriot. Maybe I'll pick up one of those and see if the match is better.

Precise ELA Telescoping Mod by Super-T!

When the solid top caps came out, I thought I'd pass on picking one up. I figured my ELA's fine without needing one of those. Fast forward to today and I've ordered two; one for my existing ELA and one for my yet-to-arrive second ELA. What is it about Super-T?!

Received a Stingray today. I'm really impressed by it. SO well made. The drip tip looks slanted in this pic, but it's just the lighting...

Picture of Your Setup Part 2!

Received the Stingray today. Such a nice device! Came with tubes to accommodate 18350s through 18650s, a drip tip and a carrying case. The drip tip (which, btw, isn't the drip tip that came with it) looks slanted at the top in this picture. But it's just the lighting, angle and distortion...

Pick nits much? Here's Gilbert's diagram from 1963. Look familiar? Nice mod in my opinion! Drip tip and all...

    I don't use a ProVari,

Actually, that's false. Herbert Gilbert (american) patented the e-cig back in 1963, it just didn't catch on at that time. Hon Lik (chinese) simply re-introduced a decades old technology at the right time. New Invention of 1963: The Smokeless Non-Tobacco Cigarette | Electronic Cigarette Reviews...

Precise ELA Telescoping Mod by Super-T!

The big center dial is adjustable to test different ranges of volts and ohms. Basically, the dial moves the decimal point left or right as you turn it, dialing in what you're trying to measure. As it's pictured, it's set to test battery voltage for the batteries we use for vaping. Really easy to...

    I don't use a ProVari,

Thanks. That's a pic I took myself. But it's not recent, maybe early 2012. I don't remember if gaps between devices/attys were that big of a deal back then. Now, watch out! Just wanted to mention that that very provari is still going strong, no problems, solid as the day I received it even...

    I don't use a ProVari,

Provari threads are always the best! I don't use mine much anymore, but they are still one of the best vv's out there as far as build quality/longevity. Old school black chrome with a MAP DCT carto tank (remember those?!) The finish is now beat to hell, but the device keeps on going...and...

Precise ELA Telescoping Mod by Super-T!

I bought this one from OSH (is that a southern california thing?). Runs off of a 9v. Checks voltage and ohms in selected ranges. It's been working great for months. I think it was about $30.

Please head over to the new members forum and help out.

I feel the same way. Ever since I switched to mechs/rebuildables, I really don't know of the best starting points for new vapers because I no longer follow/research that end of the market. An ego/carto worked well for me when I started vaping, but I have no idea if that's a good suggestion today.

    6mg and 12mg nicotine mix

    Yep. mix 1:1 and you'll have a 9mg juice.

Best nic strength for new DIYer?

Agreeing with Rossum. 100% nic is deadly poisonous. Even 10% (100mg) is very dangerous without caution. I order 3.6% (36mg) base nic and dilute it down to 6mg.
