After my first vaping session with my 808 and 36mg juice, I never touched an analog again. I didn't expect it to work so well because I'd tried everything to quit during my 37+ year smoking life and nothing worked. E-cigs worked immediately.
I won't pretend to understand exactly what's going on with the UK forum but I will say that the US is full of these so-called "sequentials" aka sheeple. These are the people who insist that vapor and smoke are the same thing, vaping and smoking will both kill you, ecigs blow up all the time...
I agree, Mroutlaw. But in all fairness, I've seen many a newbie talked out of minis who was grateful in the end, so you really never know. My recommendation for the Volt was based strictly on his request (cig-like) and the fact that he's a very light smoker. If he was a 2 PAD smoker, I'd have...
I think it's probably less fiddly and less intimidating for a newbie, that's all. I'm a bit wary of them myself and I'm far from a newbie. I think I'm going to grow some guts and try the Ego Twist next month.
You're very pro-Ego Twist to the exclusion of other options. I am not because I know there are plenty of great options out there that are NOT variable voltage. There's nothing wrong with the OP buying a Volt. In fact, that's probably the best bet for him because he's clearly a very light smoker.
For a mini, the Volt.
To step it up a notch, the KGO.
To try variable voltage, the EGO Twist.
I see that a new poster recommended it but I'm here to say: not-never-no way do you want to waste your money on the Blu kit. It's very expensive and it's awful in comparison to the options I've listed.
I hear so many complaints about tanks that I don't bother with them. I use the LR 1.7 smoketech cartos on my KGO and they work beautifully - no problems, just nice vaping.
Edited to add that the Ego Twist would probably be a good option for you.
It's an ignorant corporate policy. Again and again we see that people have a LOT of difficulty with the concept that Vaping and Smoking are two entirely different things. Did they also ban inhalers? Perfume? Deodorant?
It's time for vapers to stop accepting second-class treatment. I see...
If you really want a cig-sized model, the Volt is not the only good one out there. Vapor4Life's XL manual ecigs are terrific. I quit smoking using them and still use them occasionally when I want to remain unobtrusive.
I've noticed that my juice consumption is more than double what it used to be. I vaped at 36mg for almost two years and went through maybe 1-2ml per day max. Now I vape anywhere from 16-24mg depending on my mood and the time of day, and I am really paying for it in terms of running through...
You would find the whole transition process easier if you upgraded your ecig model to something like a KGO or an EGO Twist - something along those lines. You'll also need to find a juice that you really like, which may involve a lot of trial and error, but it's well worth the effort in the end...
