    Try to exclude possible caused . I assume that it charges OK from the mains. Try it on the USB port of another computer (preferable a desktop) and see if it charges there.

    That's odd. I have one but have no problems with it. The build quality is not that great but its OK for China and it does do the Job. The only thing that I have observed is that the moving terminal on the rail sometimes sticks . Spraying it with some contact cleaner could help.
