Nichrome is as its name , made from nickel-chromium Nichrome can be used up to 1100c. Above this temperature the element life is diminished. Kanthal wire is an alloy of iron, aluminum, and chromium. Kanthal a-1 can be used up to 1300c. Generally Kanthal lasts longer then Nichrome. -

I would suggest 0,15mm or 0,16mm resistance wire at abt 2 Ohms and voltage to taste ( It needs not be that high) use the stock 2mm wick and double strand it on top (there are a quite a few videos around on howto) I don't know if they sell nichrome but whatever they have will be fine... -

Well basically all of them are Li-ion LiMn is a category of Lithium Ion (Li-ion) batteries which uses Manganese instead of Cobalt in the makup of the posistive electrode. Li-Mn's are safer (emphasis on (er) ) than normal Lithium Ion batteries and so are marketed without safety circuitry... -
