I did once , when I burnt one.
Sliced it open with a Dremel more to see what was wrong with it.
Apart from the fact that the wicking material had burn't thru in one place and the polyfill has also burnt behind it it was fairly clean.

I do clean my carto's one time.
I find that they acceptable (not like new of course) after one cleaning but after that I just chuck them.
I usually put them in boiling water for 10 minutes and leave them a day to dry.

I have a spring button. For me it works great. You might want to get some replacement copper springs though (Softer feel and less resistance) .
I'm sorry but I don't have experience with the magnetic button.

Same thing happens to me all the time .
At work 7 of my colleagues are vapers and when they run out at work ....
They know by now that I always keep a bottle or two at the office for an emergency.
