    Actually 70 below doesn't feel colder than 50 below, just that one freezes faster and hypothermia is harder to fight.. Nope, sure never carried a heater around out on the trap line everyday, LOL !! that was back in the old days, thankfully. I came to the states when I was 19.

    cleaning up spilled wax ( like for candle drips etc), we just put an ice cube on it and it will break off and clean up easy--so I don't think the wax would be a good idea in a freezer. the bubble wrap ( I use food saver ) would be better.
