New to mech mods, need solid battery advice

My bad - I should have stated EfeSt IMR 18350's more clearly - sorry if I caused any confusion. I've used them, hence the recommendation - AW seem to be the go to still and if I had to buy any now, I'd go for AW now. I got the Efests with a APV a while back and there didn't seem anything wrong...

New to mech mods, need solid battery advice

My only experience with 18350's were EFest IMR's - worked like champs, although didn't last very long (were 700mah if memory serves) Safe though, and served me well

    do chargers matter that much?

I remove the battery when I get three solid bars, with my luck mine would keep charging :) I think it will shut down when charged, but as wheelie stated, you can't account for failing parts and disaster. I'd never sleep well leaving it on overnight, in fact I doubt I'd sleep.... I trust it not...

    Trustfire 18650 protected battery...hmm

Well we don't have a torch in the car, what happens if she breaks down in the car at night? She needs it. I'll sort it out, in her interests of course! :D

    Trustfire 18650 protected battery...hmm

I like the look of it. Might invest (if I can hide the purchase from the other half, she'd kill me with the amount of vape mail I've had through recently!) :)

    do chargers matter that much?

I got a Trustfire TR001 with my first APV (kind of a bundle sale) Used it no problems until my battery collection (inevitably) grew. I wanted a 4 bay charger so invested in an Intellicharger i4. The difference is staggering, to me. The i4 charges MUCH quicker, and more accurately. I can take a...

    Trustfire 18650 protected battery...hmm

I really like that torch!!! I have one but takes car batteries! Since the dog passed on I've had no need for one (just watch, I'll have a power cut tonight!) Thanks for the input folks, as always, much appreciated. *retires the new very shiny, very red, battery to the recycling pile to be...

New to mech mods, need solid battery advice

Agree with all recommendations so far - I don't use the AW's (yet) but my Efest IMR18650's are high drain, and perform well enough for me. Mine are rated at 2000mah, perform pretty well. I vape around the same coil resistance to you (I'm normally slightly higher, but it's roughly the same) and...

    Trustfire 18650 protected battery...hmm

I did suspect this, just wanted some input I guess. I might buy a torch ha-ha :)

    Trustfire 18650 protected battery...hmm

Hi folks Ok, so I ordered a Efest IMR18650, 2000mah battery and what turned up in the vape mail was a TrustFire 18650, 3000mah (whatever!) protected battery. I'm actually surprised I got the delivery, first off, as I'd read the company had gone bust (E-cigwarehouse). Mod (Nemesis clone) works...

What is with the Mech Mods?

+1 to mech mods from a new mech user. My APV's crapped out on me, so figured I needed something durable. Clone (sadly) later, and my good god, it's another experience altogether. Sadly, I now need new tanks to sit flush - Mechs bring out the OCD in me.... It's simple, smaller, and sexy (even...

    first upgrade?

No reason not to go for a Mech Mod, but it's rather a leap from what you have now. I'd just say "read up" if you do go down the mech route. MVP's are not that big, are regulated, and are very well respected. I've seen loads of them used with loads of different tanks and they all look fine...

    Provari 2.5? 180 bucks???

Not sure if it's relevant, but meh. Vamo - cost me roughly £60 (got a kit with charger, batteries, tank etc) - dead today. Fire's but can't use the little buttons, at all. Stuck on 10 watts and can't check resistance, or voltage, or access menu. Can vape, though, but it's basically begging me...

Advice for a back up rig

MVP is also a pass-through if I recall correctly, so you can hook it up to charge and vape whilst it's plugged in. Not ideal if you are away from a power source, but worth noting (I'd look it up to confirm though) :D

Advice for a back up rig

That would be awesome but it's also pretty costly (upfront at least!) I'd say wait until you fall in love with the MVP, if you do, get another one. I don't own one, but will one day purely because of the love the ECF members afford it. Alternatives? - Vamo. It's a rock solid, cheap mod, that...

How much e juice vaped per day?

Welcome to ECF! I vape through roughly 10ml a day, at 12mg nic I use less if I use a single coil, on a dual coil I burn through more. As stated, vape as much as you need, as long as you don't feel ill (i.e. over do the nicotine) Congtats on kicking the cigarettes, vape as much as you...

Yet another "Help me choose a mech" thread!

I think the V2 has the floating pin - the original V1 didn't - least as far as I know. I was looking into the Magneto recently and some of the reviews of the V1 put me off (I need an adjustable pin) - read further into it and the V2 fixed it by offering an adjustable pin. Looks like a decent...

E-cigarettes are making tobacco obsolete. So why ban them?

Cheered me up. Thanks for sharing :D

Is this a good deal to try ecigs?

Looks like a standard Ego setup, and a step up from a Blu (assuming that's a ciglike e-cig) My first was a disposable cig-like, my 2nd was similar to your link. I quit on an ego, so yeah - I'd say go for it.
