It quite literally -is- a minefield, the world of batteries. Good advice though.
I've often wondered if the surge in e-cig sales will prompt yet more rechargeable batteries to hit the market. I wish I made decent batteries for a living ;) (market is ripe!)
I had one of them NCR18650B batteries. While I sympathize that they do "last a long time" I respect the advice I got from here (mainly from Baditude) that because it's not a high drain battery, I am not using the best battery - so gave it away.
Just because it's not high drain does not mean it...
Excellent - always nice to read these, they show me that sticking with e-cigs is the future.
Welcome to the forums, and glad your health has improved. I bet your Doctor was impressed!
Similar story on the Daily Mails website which suggests e-cigs now outstrip NRT in the UK (in terms of turnover - £193million turnover for e-cigs and £131 million for pharma.
*plays the worlds smallest violin*
Good, I say. Shows they work ;)
I sympathize a great deal here.
My significant other smokes, and looks down on me for Vaping. She sees it as me delaying the inevitable.
Without going into politics too much, I tell her I'm delaying the inevitable, which is death - which heck we all face. Blunt faced I march on.
Funnily...
Damn.
Water....guessing you tried that.
Flavorless liquid? It helps apparently.
My vote is the hottest curry available at the nearest curry house. That will get them buds dancing again :)
Hope it passes soon!
Done - although question 2 was something like "how many cigarettes do you smoke" which had no,"none" option, so expect a few misses on that one. Whilst not wanting to sound presumptuous, a lot of vapers simply no longer "smoke" cigarettes.
Good luck with the project, it's a worthy one in my...
I suppose it depends on the vendor you go for - the last batch of nic I got was 100% VG (I prefer a higher percentage of veg :) )
Some will sell 50/50 nic base though, that's on order for next month.
I guess a 50/50 base and PG/VG to add would make sense, but when mixing with 100% VG nic base...
Also, I'd start with single, simple, flavors to begin with and work up to other more complicated mixes.
I've found spearmint/menthol is forgiving and even what I consider a bad batch is vapable. Same for vanilla (or so I'm led to believe)
I rarely (if ever) use glass beakers to mix in. I find most of the time I'm mixing straight to the bottle of liquid. In goes the nic, in goes the PG then VG, then drop some flavorings in and shake and steep.
Might save on the overheads initially, I've had no issues mixing like this (although...
I also do the mouth to throat out nose while taking next "drag" - especially in the mornings when I need a nic fix! I find this the most efficient way to absorb nicotine*
I do lung inhale also, but that's simply habit I think! I always held the vapor in my mouth first though, then lung inhale...
Pleased you had backups!
Arrived at work with a 18650 sporting 3.5v battery life, and exactly 1ml liquid in tank. Reached for the spares and "on the kitchen table". Nearly smoked that day, I was not a nice man that day. I didn't smoke....
:)
I figure the ability to create fire is awesome, I truly do. I carry a lighter to the day with no other intention of :
1. Survival if The Walking Dead happens
2. Pesky people asking for a light.
Tis a useful thing :)
Congrats on the success, keep it up, you won't know yourself soon...
I have some Ego batteries similar to yours that should "shut off" after five clicks, but sometimes I can click it up to 10 times quickly before it realizes I want it to shut off and flash five times and obey.
:)
I'd agree with BigCatDaddy here
24mg was enough for me to kick the habit of smoking, but I soon reduced. I don't think I'd have succeeded vaping on 12mg nicotine (which I'm now managing to stick to after three months)
18/24mg nic is usually recommended if you are a pack a day smoker. If you...
