45 years on analogs need help getting this right.

Yep, you were spot on. Once you get the hang of it you will be able to mess around with percentages and get something that's truly "your vape" - that may take a while, and your tastes will undoubtedly change over the weeks/months, but that's the beauty of vaping.....freedom and choice :)

    Budget APV setup?

The MVP2 comes with a 510 connection that should work with a Kayfun Lite. I've used neither mind you, just reading the specs on both and they would suggest to me that you would have no problems (stand to be corrected however) Shop around, also, as stated - the link I gave was not the cheapest...

Seemed to resolve my iClear 30 issues!

I had issues with this - but slightly different When I tried to remove the metal top cap, or drip tip, to fill - it was literally unscrewing the coil out of the tank. Not ideal Had all kinds of issues with this. I've found not over tightening the top cap helps a lot. Glad you sorted your...

45 years on analogs need help getting this right.

Spot on. If the throat hit is too much, I usually either reduce the nic percentage, or reduce the PG percentage in the overall mix. For high nic liquids (by high I mean anything over 18mg to me) I usually aim for an overall 20% PG and 80% VG to smooth it out. Trial and error, DIY, but...

    Budget APV setup?

Yep - I'm eyeing up an MVP2 - looking at this one It can charge other devices apparently, which would be handy. Main reason I'm thinking about this is it's so hassle free. I'm constantly charging backup batteries for my Vamo and carrying spares, this one seems good for over a day and it...

    Budget APV setup?

A mechanical won't shut off when your battery is below a critical voltage, a regulated MOD will. Also, a mech mod will fire any coil it's hooked up to, regulated mods have set limits on how low you can go. Getting protected batteries can help, but a mech mod won't tell you what resistance...

    Budget APV setup?

No reason you can't use a mechanical, you'd just need to invest more initially (mainly gear to test your batteries for voltage, and/or a ohm checker for your coils) Not to say you shouldn't go for one, of course. It's up to you. I've recommend any of the above. I got a Vamo V5 kit (batteries...

Decent article about ecigs + UK in the Guardian

Still trying to read all the reader comments.... Certainly stoked up some emotions huh? Cheers for the link. I'm going through a LOT of popcorn reading this one ha-ha

How many ml do you vape a day?

Since I dropped to 12mg nic I easily vape through 8ml a day.

Did you give up smoking on purpose?

I'd seen people at work using some cheap Ego's with some CE4's and it peaked my interest. You have to understand I'm a total geek, so anything remotely "tech" grabs my attention. I went to the local gas station where they bought them and wasn't impressed with what I saw (the kit was £30 but...

    Shockingly disappointing

Steeping is definitely the way forward. I got a batch of fizzy trifle and nearly threw it away. Left it in a dark place for a month and it blew my socks off. :)

    Do YOU do this???

Whilst I don't find I am trying out new foods in the hunt for the next Vape, I am vaping things I'd never had imagined I would. Example : Menthol. Hated menthol cigarettes, vape it most days. Chocolate. Not normally a fan, but did a batch of Chocolate Fudge Brownie on a DIY experiment...

    Well that was quick :/

I felt anxious in the early days, moody, hot/cold flushes and generally grumpy. It does pass in time, trust me. Just keep at it. You may want to consider upping your nicotine levels if it's really bad. Whatever helps you get through the early days. I had to use 24mg and vaped, constantly, to...

    Well that was quick :/

You are not alone in being overwhelmed by vaping. It's not as easy as "I'll have 20 Lambert and Butler" at the local store. It's a learning curve, for sure, but a rewarding one. Edit - misread a post Keep at it, you are doing fine. It's just finding out how it all works and more...

    The Dehydration Myth

I find vaping dries my throat and mouth out a -lot- I drink nothing but water at work, I'm so cheap I even retained my last 500ml bottle of Coke and use that (it gets cleaned regularly, the "Coke" logo is fairly faded though) I need to drink something when chain vaping, maybe that's just me...

Battery section of Vamo V5 coming loose

Cheers folks - least I know I'm not the only one having/had this issue. I was weary of tapping it with a hammer in case I broke it - not sure if it would appreciate my elephants touch (im not generally considered to be "light of touch" when it comes to tools ha-ha) I'm waiting for it to die...
